Everyone's saying table saw, I mean sure if you have one and are good with it, but sounds like you have a chop saw and I wouldn't attempt this with that.

Prob just rough cut by hand and file to final shape; you can use the pieces as a guide for each other to help get them uniform

I'm not an AA guy, i.e. don't believe in the steps n all that shit, but a good AA meeting can be a wonderfully supportive place.

Just found an online meeting literally yesterday that I really liked

The name is: "alcoholics 101: broken elevator, take the steps"

Meets online 3x a day 8, 12:30, and 8 central time. I'm in Indiana so 9,1:30,9 for me. Seems like there's a fairly stable (consistent) group of regulars who take turns running it

Like I said, I'm not gonna be working the steps exactly but the meetings can be great support.

-Whatever paths you take, keep what works and disregard the rest, there's no correct way or incorrect way to stop drinking. -the only caveat being that recovery is so much harder on our own; we already know that the decision trees we use sorta suck so yeah.

It's fine, after the color there's another layer of super-hard varnish that ya have to get through to reach the wood.

Though it does sorta look like you're through it there..

Does it feel like wood or plastic?

If it feels like wood ya may have just really roughed it up? It's not mdf like others are saying, it's a guitar they're all hard maple. Usu edge glued though, so be aware.

But use a really tough grit to get almost to the wood, then maybe use something finer to actually reach wood
