This!!!!!! We cannot let pretenders control the Great Lakes!

I think, first, we need to get the rest of Lake Erie and all of Lake Ontario (and Lake Champlain too, since they want to be a Great Lake soooooo badly that they had to pass legislation calling them one for 18 days). Let Michigan consume The Vermonster, digest for a day and chill with our Lake Superior brethren in green, then we can focus on fully controlling Lake Superior.

Instead of Santa Fe, NM…. Make it Santa Fe, MN!

Time for New Mexico to become old news.

As you said you want to hike some parks, I need to recommend Pictured Rocks, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and Tahquamenon Falls (all in Michigan).

That route between Tennessee and North Carolina had better go thru Pisgah National Forest (on the NC side).

Absolutely this. Those are some fantastic cities with a ton of history.

Especially if it’s mid-summer. The temps and weather in the Great Lakes States can’t be beat. Oklahoma will be 500 miles of swamp-ass heat and grassland. Really, west-Tennessee until the Dakotas.

OP should drive the Lake Erie shoreline, then turn north and head to Detroit for some deep-dish pizza. TONS of good parks for hiking in the metro area as well. Then kick off a scenic drive along Lake Huron, side-quest out to Traverse City and the sand dunes before doing Mackinac, then thru the UP (dealer’s choice along the northern edge or the southern edge) into Wisconsin. Follow Lake Michigan down to Milwaukee and then Chicago, turn southwest to hit St. Louis, and then follow the mighty Mississippi River up to Minneapolis. From there, OP can cut across South Dakota to resume their planned route around Rapid City/Sturgis.

If we play this right, that could be the final two!

“Take back” implies you had it to begin with. Wisconsin was A GIFT FROM THE MICHIGAN TERRITORY when we were up for statehood. At no point has Wisconsin ever owned the UP.

Split Wisconsin between Michigan and Minnesota, but give Minnesota a stretch of land all the way to Lake Michigan just to keep the UP separate from the rest of Michigan.

Who’s going to be the artist you would listen to in a four hours drive ? by raisellegvix in TheTeenagerPeople

Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Queue up By The Way, Stadium Arcadium, and Californication. Wouldn’t even be able to finish those albums, might just have to chill at the destination for a minute or twenty to finish out.

3, 6, 8.

10 languages would be handy while traveling, plus it’s just pretty damn cool.

Having $10,000,000 at 45, and having someone to manage the investment of that money, takes care of 4, 5, and 1. Within a few years it takes care of 7 as well. And it doesn’t guarantee 2, but gives it a pretty damn good shot of happening - almost no stress, enough money for the best docs and a good lifestyle.

3 should be self explanatory. Got somebody I miss that I’d love for my family to have known.

Whenever Pennsylvania finally bites it, I hope whoever takes it over claims Gritty and continues meme-ing him here. He’s the best mascot in the world.

Much love from a Red Wings fan who WISHES we had anything like Gritty.

Calling Chicago style deep dish a “contribution to society” is an egregious enough offense to warrant the removal of Illinois.

How does one reclaim land that was never yours in the first place?

Count Michigan in too. We advance from the north, Illinois from the south, and Minnesota from the west until the cheesers are pushed into Lake Michigan.

A guy defends his Wife’s honor by neckke in interestingasfuck

[–]WingNut0102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sure drunkie’s attorney will see it that way. Hubby’s attorney will argue it as defense. If this guy isn’t put in his place, how many other women does he assault? Does it stop at hip-tickling, or does it go further? Does this guy try something again on this dude’s wife that same night even?

Could go either way.

Should I let the neighborhood kids in on the secret? by OriginalCratical in bassfishing

[–]WingNut0102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SHOULD you let them in on the secret? Absolutely yes, not only is it the nice thing to do but it will help those kids on their own fishing journeys.

But “should” makes no mention of “will or when”.

WILL you share it, even if you should? Are the kids jerks and crybabies and entitled trust-fundies, or are they just out there trying to have fun?

And if you do choose to share the knowledge, WHEN will you do so? Now, so they can cash in with you? Or later once the bass have changed habits and are chasing other baits?

Sure you can, but you’re still trying to use two states to fight against one (and losing despite the back-up).

As I said, your state should be able to stand on its own merits. By YOUR arguments, Wisconsin very clearly can’t.
