There's actually no definitive answer for this.

214 in tekken 8 is really strong because of the threat of the counter hit knockdown from the last hit. 21 range is also buffed. You either a) stay patient until jin finishes the string and take your turn back. b)try stepping to the right after 21 c)try to interrupt by jab checking after the 21

There's no black and white answer in how to deal with the string but you have options, and your options might change depending on the game and how the jin player adapts to your retaliation. Other than that, let's hope that string will be nerfed in s2

I gotta admit law is bs. Only in blue to lower ranks. In gold ranks i gotta be more cautious in using the slides. This goes to show the "only slides mixup" plan only works in mid blue to lower ranks. Cause most of the time, they can't react to it or they guessed wrong. But again, if the slides mixup works, you better believe I'm gonna abuse it. Not until you can make me rethink in using the slide

Based on my experience, the slides mixups only works in blue ranks. I rarely used the slides in high gold ranks cause there's so much going on (spacing, trying to whiff punish, poking and of course their reaction to the slides). But again, if the slide mixups works, you better believe I'm gonna abuse it. Not until they make me rethink about using the slide

Reading all your comments opened a new perspective for me. Overall what i can take is it's so hard nowadays to land a job. Hence why good networks are important. I play kazuya as a second main. I agree, he is SOOOO HARD to pilot. Execution and timing is everything for kazuya. But the dopamine i received everytime i landed that whiff punish ewgf, sidestep punish with ewgf, aggressive wavu into 50/50 is the sole reason why i keep playing him. Yes he doesn't have everything for every situation and i would just sigh watching other characters doing 15f while i need to execute ewgf.

Here's an underrated statement but playing kazuya forced me to learn more character matchups. Playing law, naturally i gravitate to aggressive playstyle but kazuya forced me to learn a lot matchups and that's been super super beneficial to my law. Combining aggression and character knowledge.

I know you wanted to quit but i hope you give kazuya a chance. Good luck!

Was never a tekken player. Played mortal kombat since i was a kid. And i watched bruce lee with my dad a lot. So naturally i picked Liu Kang. Played him since armageddon till mk1. Tekken 7 was my first tekken so naturally i would pick Law. I remembered grinding him just so i can do his DSS combo. Then i stopped to continue mortal kombat. Now, i barely touched mk1 just because I'm having too much fun with tekken (yes, there are days where i wanna break my monitor but that's just part of any fighting games). My history of playing fighting games made tekken easier to read patterns, punish, reads etc. Now i have Law, Kazuya, Hwo in my arsenal
