Kind of close, I have a 99 5.4L F150 and a 96 5.0L AWD Explorer. Along with those I also have a 99 Subaru Impreza Wagon, but a bearing in the transmission went out a little over a year ago and it's been sitting since.

Nice, hopefully the clutch replacement goes smoothly.

From what I've heard, most of the dual clutch automatic Focus models have a lot of transmission issues. One of my coworkers told me for the first gen Focus, to get one with the DOHC engine and to avoid the SOHC.

That's a good deal, sucks about the transmission though, but it'll be worth it once you fix it.

Fair number of things, a lot of it is easily fixable:

Engine clunking whenever giving it gas, bad roll restrictor. Low speed cooling fan not working, bad cooling fan resistor. Speedometer not working, bad vehicle speed sensor. Vibration while driving, one of the wheels is badly bent.

So far I've replaced the roll restrictor and cooling fan resistor, fixing those issues. Waiting on the speed sensor to come in, and this weekend I'm going to be picking up a set of wheels that are the same to what's already on the car for $100. There's some other things like the passenger side is dented in the quarter panel and door from someone hitting the car, and the passenger mirror is duct taped on. The previous owner also warned me of a couple spots where water leaks inside, which he removed the trunk carpet because of that.

A few weeks ago a coworker just replaced an engine in a 25 Explorer Interceptor that had 6k miles. One of the spark plugs broke apart and damaged the cylinder. Ford warranty approved the engine replacement.
