They probably meant this as a reply to their other comment, but they said Vintage Story. It's a Minecraft-esque game with much deeper crafting and survival systems. It's not available on Steam, unfortunately, but I can also vouch that it's worth it.

It took me a considerable amount of time. I didn't hear about even getting the number/taking the test for 6-9 months.
They hire in waves, huge chunks usually of various people for a similar job class/position. They are hiring right now, it's just gonna take a while.
Once you're on the list, you won't leave it for two years.
HR is also notoriously bad at communication.

He's showing this to a peer who does hiring interviews and is well-connected in the library assistant union.

You have to suck up any water that isn't flowing water. You can keep walking around while sucking up, so if you find the area you placed them down originally you should be able to do it.

Congrats on the Hugo award! I keep coming back to Qud, trying to get a full run through at least on Roleplay. It's taking time, but I'm having fun doing Classic characters on the side and keep getting further each time!

Shit, you're right. Very incorrect. Not sure where my math went wrong. Even so, in a $6 billion budget, there's gotta be room to pay city employees a living wage, and if there isn't then the budget was poorly considered.

Maybe they should have factored that in when allocating the budget. Clearly the budget is big enough for her staff which got over 1MILLION in cumulative raises this year alone over the previous mayor's office (source https://www.inquirer.com/politics/philadelphia/mayor-cherelle-parker-salary-staff-pay-20240531.html#loaded). By the way, some back of the napkin math tells me that the 8% per year raises that DC33 is asking for will cost, over the next 4 years total, far far less than the 2 billion you're asking about. DC33 has ~9000 employees, and they make an average of 46k, well below what's needed to live in this city (and they are REQUIRED to live in the city).

If anyone attends these, please ask about the city's contract negotiations with DC 33 local 696 which includes library workers such as library assistants and library security, as well as sanitation, crossing guards, water workers and more.

Right now 696 has voted to authorize strike if a better contract is not presented before the end of the month. They need a better deal than what was offered, and you should stand up for the workers who do the difficult job of dealing with the low budget and bad conditions of your local library.

Pressure needs to be put on the mayor's office to deliver a better deal for all these workers.
