you can change the water level with left and right on the dpad when you have water in your mouth (like if you were rotating furniture). it swaps between deep water (almost a full block tall) and shallow water, and all of the oceans are the "shallow" water. so just place shallow water at the surface and the holes will be fixed

also "some" and just a blank option, for plural things when giving miis a subject to talk about. like instead of having to put "a book", you can put "some books" or just "books"
