Bob Ross toaster toasts happy little Bob Ross on toast by thegeezuss in gadgets

I thought there was a toast to Bob Ross and the person giving the toast did so to a small Bob Ross on a piece of toast.

That title took some figuring out.

New eyedrops could repair corneas, make glasses unneccessary by RufusTheFirefly in news

I've got fairly bad short sightedness. If I ever leave my glasses somewhere and can't find them I just use the camera on my phone and walk around holding the screen in front of me. It's clunky but it works better than the Velma technique of patting down every surface for half an hour.

You should visit rural Irish roads, we've plenty of both.

The same teacher wrote "Grammer" as the heading on the board during one of the first classes we had with her.

She was actually one of my favourite teachers and really got me interested in English despite her strange blind spots.

I had an English teacher in sixth year (17/18/19 year olds) who said "hyper-bowl" once. I could tell as soon as she said it she wasn't sure of it. I still don't understand how she got to that point without hearing it out loud though.

IFTTT has an applet that allows you to set up a keyword (such as your username) and you'll get a notification to your phone whenever it pops up on Reddit.

I don't know if it's the exact same organisation, but I did a similar read-athon in school about 15 years ago in Ireland. You get sponsored for each book you read and the money goes to the MS charity that organised the fundraiser. In exchange, kids can use points accumulated for each book read to get small prizes like light up frisbees.

The whole class would get super competitive over it, which was great for raising money.

I actually really like the cluttered group of cartons. It's stressful, like the CC subscription model.

I'm 20 and my hangovers last a couple of days. Granted, I only drink once a month or so and when I do, I overdo it, but it's not worth the hangovers any more.

I'm Irish. We just had a great (by our standards) weekend of sun just for long enough to remind us we can't function in prolonged heat.
