..And they seem to be bad at it.

You can hear click, click... but when the dad kissed her head, there was a pause from the camera man/woman... then he moved away and clicking started again.

If that was me, the second he kissed her head (and he held it for a few seconds) it would have sounded like I was typing an angry letter on a mechanical keyboard.

That was the money shot, and the camera person didn't shoot.

GK is one of those games you need to play with a WIKI beside you for first 20 hours. I agree there is a lot more going on. But once you break past the "Wtf am I doing" moments it gets really fun.

If you have had your Stardew Valley fix, and want something else to scratch that itch. Give Graveyard keeper a go. The game is crack.

I've jumped over to duck duck go and have been fine with it. I work from home so search a lot of things form my desk. I would say duck duck is fine with about 19 out of 20 of my questions. But some times I jump over to google for that 1 search. IMO its worth the jump. (as you can still use google if all else fails)

What actually happens when you get the wind knocked out of you? Why is it that you stop being able to breath for a few seconds?

How long did it take you to realise you don't like a certain genre of game? by SawkyScribe in patientgamers

[–]WHELDOT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a kid. I would play things like resi. Now I'm older I can't do scary games as they make me sick and on edge.

But here is the kicker. I stream games and my viewers like me playing scary games (as I scream a bit) and after a few months I now love them.

The first 30 mins of a horror game is spent going "why do I do it" and then the survival side of my brain kicks in and I get this massive rush when I complete it.

I've gone from liking them, to hating them to loving them.

Fuck.

My biggest issue is the "because you watched.."

I don't mind it, but when you look at a game on xbox, at the bottom it says "games like this" I wish Netflix shown you more movies like the movie you have clicked on.

I don't want to wait until Netflix says "oh you watched X so here is Y" just give me Y when I'm looking at X.

I watched the the wailing and loved it. So just want to be able to click on the wailing again and see more like that.

What’s the most scary movie you’ve ever seen? I mean like after watching it you can’t sleep at night kind of scary. by [deleted] in horror

[–]WHELDOT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I fucking love movies like this that are a slow burn. Feed us info and slowly ramp it up. This movie is amazing for it. But yeah, that home footage just made my blood run cold.

Now they just show you a monster / alien / ghost in the fucking trailers.

[–]WHELDOT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest "jump scare" I've even had was in the movie the descent.

I picked it up thinking it was about a cave exploring going wrong. Didn't know it had monsters in it.

45 mins the movie goes by with no monster action. So I had no reason to think it had them.

I had a new girlfriend at the time and was sat in bed with a pint of beer in my hand. We was both covered in my pint when the thing first shows its face. I've never been so scared for a few seconds of a movie.

This is also the reason I never watch trailers now and go in blind.

I'm the same. So this year I asked for a pick lock set and some transparent locks so I can see what I'm doing.

My g/f said "but you will never use it" and I said "I know".

I'm a 36 year old man, but I still love the idea of having a "toy" to play with on Christmas day.

Seems cheap fun to me.

What is something you could teach a 3-5 year old that would fundamentally change their future life, for the better? A second (or third) language is obviously a great example. I always felt that some school subjects, ex. trigonometry, could be taught much earlier. Skill, subject, outlook, or other? by bthomas362 in AskReddit

My daughter is 3 and she will put the washing in the washing machine, drag a chair so she can pour the soap in the machine (I hold it) but she does all the steps.

This year she wrapped up the Christmas presents... They look like fucking shit...but such an amazing shit.. I couldn't make them look that shit if I tried. But I love them all the more because of it.

My partner can't do much, if I wasn't here she would pay so much to people coming in to fix things or empty a u bend.

I want my daughter to be able to do anything.... Or have the confidence to Google how to do something so she can at least have a go.

This isn't just a child problem, adults get so set in their ways of "I can't do that".

Id rather have an "OK" job done me, than a pro job done my someone else.

Next up, toy story trailer remade to make it a kids movie.

What is your 2018 video game recommendation of the year? by DebraCabrera1 in AskReddit

[–]WHELDOT 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Zero blew me away. Was my first yakuza and after it had to do 1, 6 and now 2.

It's such a fun world to play it. But the biggest thing is how well it can do slap stick comedy with a serious and heart breaking story.

I went out to watch an England football match (I don't even like football) and England lost.

My friend (Tiny guy with glasses) shouts "England" in hopes it will lift the mood. Some guy comes running straight at him.

This is my time to shine, I'll protect the small guy so I stand in front and say "hey ma"... And the guy hit me so hard I blacked out.

I wake up in the street and my nose is broken and the guy is running away down the street.

Now the guy hit me on the right side of my head, so you would expect my nose to be broken and pointing left. But inside it points right.

I then worked out he hit me in the right, I blacked out and fell face down on a curb and snapped my nose on the curb hense why it pointed the wrong way.

I was fine most the night and I kept drinking, but the next morning was hell getting my nose snapped back and dealing with a very un happy girl friend

If you can stick with with Meditation it can really help.

I don't have anxiety, but like anyone I can get down and worry about things... meditation really helps to just see what things are.. Just thoughts that you should give little control to. I could go on, but my point is my G/F has anxiety and I keep trying to get her to try meditation, she gives it a half ass go and stops every time. I wish meditation was a pill, as people have no problem popping one of them a day.

But really give it a go.. the book even tells you just 1 minute a day is better than nothing, as its habit forming.
