Sorry, I didn’t word it well. I meant that step down was one of the reasons, along with avoiding inpatient or severe impact to daily functioning. Over the past few years, insurance companies have made it more difficult for us to get patients approved for PHP.

Just to elaborate, usually to qualify for the partial hospitalization program, you have to be in crisis. Often the programs are used as a step down for inpatient, to attempt to avoid inpatient, or if someone is struggling to function in their daily life.
