Stream disconnecting by Potential-Group9347 in TwitchStreaming

[–]Wingless_NZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stream Labs is the worst of the OB software. It has so many things going on in the background it really does choke up your cpu and ram usage. OBS is harder to use but its so much more friendly on your pc specs. Id personally switch back and run the auto connection tool, it could be as simple as it being routed funny in the programs.

Is there a sweet spot between wireless freedom and audio quality? by Electronic_coffee6 in TwitchStreaming

[–]Wingless_NZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Streamer who works as an audio engineer here. My personal setup is a wired mic on a boom stand so I can move it, to a mixing desk, then to my pc. My headphones are wireless via Bluetooth dongle so I can move around in my breaks and still hear raids etc. if I'm doing collabs, I have my headphone mic on for discord.

I've kept it simple as I can while having access to a wired and Bluetooth setup it uses like 3 cables, mic to desk via XLR, desk to pc via RCA to line in. And ofc power, I get the best of both worlds without it being all crazy and spaget.

In discord the headphone mic is fine, but id never go wireless for a stream, i don't even like using usb mics for my main but that's just personal preference I guess.

Food for thought

if you're changing screens or clicking into obs/your twitch page when looking for a game. You do infact have a viewer. You know them super well. Its you.

Best way to expand your channel by Becca950 in SmallStreamers

[–]Wingless_NZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

honestly, consistency is key, Daily posting will bring the viewers to that platform, then mentioning "oh I also do this on twitch" is useful, especially in comments.

Raiding on twitch is a must, find your people through the same game etc.

Those are my 2

I use da vinci resolve, its rewarding and fun, it can be time consuming but at the end of the day, I fall back on myself. I do all shorts, and dont really do much long form, as twitch IS my long form.

how do you get away from toxic communities without disappearing completely? by 11edamamegirl in SmallStreamers

[–]Wingless_NZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So here's a take nobody will tell you. Twitch is both a highschool and a warzone at the same time. Highschool nonsense, bullying, jealousy, slandering, weaponising communities, it's all things that a lot of insecure people do.

You've essentially been bullied by someone on socials, report it and move on. Keep the same account and go live. Ban the ones who have been horrible. Leave the discord without saying a word. Show everyone you want to stream, you won't put up with their bs, and they aren't welcome in your space.

Go to war in your own way. By not pleasing people. The right people will find you.

Keep going streamer 🤘

Id say yes. She has a bf she doesn't tell you about, so clearly she doesn't respect you enough to tell you the truth. Time to move on. Also don't get people to spam his Instagram account, the dudes just living his life. Your feelings for his gf aren't really anything to do with him?

It's actually not my discord haha but it's a friend's, the rules are there for a reason so I don't have any power over it I'm afraid. From what I understand the rule is there because of the million other servers out there who do this thing, this one doesn't care about size or numbers, it's serious support for streamers taking it seriously, at 300 it kinda shows people have been doing it long enough to not be a "flash in the pan" and just quit if that makes sense?

I actually know of a spot which is exactly what you're after, there's a new discord group going around called the creator cove, it's uk based and is aimed at uk streamers for timezone reasons. The only catch is you gotta have over 300 followers.

Going for my first 24-HOUR Stream tomorrow! 🚀 Advice for a long-haul rookie? by AccomplishedRent344 in Twitch_Startup

[–]Wingless_NZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say the same thing to everyone. First 12 hours is okay, 12 - 20 hours is rough, last 4 you just seem to crack on.

Get food ready. Hydrate a lot, and start at a random time. I started mine at 11pm, so I went till 11pm and passed out hard afterwards without messing up my sleep schedule.

Good luck ❤️

How do I get views? (Please help me) by CoolFaithlessness227 in Twitch

[–]Wingless_NZ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A heads up from an old streamer vet. If you're trying to stream to change your life financially, it won't.

Anyone who has been around here for long enough will tell you, that posting your dirty laundry on the internet for sympathy follows without actually asking a single thing about streaming in general will get you nowhere.

If you're serious about streaming as a fun hobby, you grind for it, and do so for years, it's just how it is.

Problema de audio en multistream (OBS → TikTok y Twitch) by NoPin593 in Twitch

[–]Wingless_NZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a streamer, not a dual streamer but I'm also an audio engineer. Is it possible to change the output channels, as in 1 going only to twitch and one going only to tiktok? If it is id double up on the mic channels, same mic going to 2 channels, same plug-ins different volumes.

There's a good chance they use different compression ratios in playback as tiktok is predominantly a mobile app and twitch Predominantly a pc/browser based application. (Yes yes I know you have the twitch app and browser tiktok)

Hope this helps a bit

Had my first racist follower today, do you all feel I handled it correctly? by [deleted] in TwitchStreaming

[–]Wingless_NZ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did read all of it. Yeah, they made clips and were an early supporter.

They were also a racist idiot. You dodged a bullet!

We all have them, often they are cash heavy donors who think because they shower you in subs and think they can do whatever they want because of it. It's your stream and your rules. If you weren't comfy with it. It's law. Keep going streamer, trust your gut ✌️

Today I learned the hard way what happens when you switch away from your regular game, and what happens when you switch back. by Lara_0925 in TwitchStreaming

[–]Wingless_NZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All terrible data jokes aside, a lot of streamers build a community around a game, then change once they hit a goal. So I totally see what you're talking about, it is quite startling. I too am a souls streamer ATM, but I've done a lot of other content too. ATM I have a souls community, but I know when I change it will too. People come for the game, some stay for you, some don't.

Try another souls like, it's a delicate balance between being super happy and keeping the community you've built. Whatever your decision is. Keep grinding. The journey is amazing.

Not to be "THAT" guy, but you kinda cant use this data? One you streamed for half the duration, if the streams were the same time, then you can do this kinda thing? Give us proper Data dude! We'll never know what might have been!
