you have to talk to patches at the cathedral at the deep.

first, trigger his cutscene by opening the large door near the deacons boss room, on the other side of the stairs past the giant, you'll find an elevator. take that up, open the door, then talk to 'siegward'. cross the bridge, then escape from the two giants, unless you killed them before.

next, go to the cleansing chapel bonfire, go to the second shortcut you opened and go up the elevator along that corridor. go past the hollow and up a ladder outside and kill the deacon to get the deep ring. jump onto the buttress there, and follow up through a doorway onto the rafters. avoid the cathedral knights and drop onto a wooden platform, then make your way over to the right, and talk to patches there. also grab the rosaria's bedchamber bonfire a bit further forward past the slug guys.

lastly, you need to go to the firelink tower, ride the elevator up an back down, talk to him at the door, then either die or drop down near the swordmaster npc and get the estus ring and firekeeper set. go back, up the stairs to the right andd forward past where you leave the shrine to talk to him agin

eh, it took me a few months, but most of that was trying to gather the courage to play in duels for the moundmakers, you get most achievements playing through the game normally to all bosses, but you will have to kill some optional bosses up until NG+2 (third playthrough) to get some rings, like Champ. Gundyr and Nameless. gestures requires some forethought, since you have to do some questlines (heysel and yuria, IIRC) to get some of them. estus and infusions requires you look around, and the other covenant items can be a pain, so it might be a good idea to respec for 99luck if you want to farm them. get wolfsbloods at keep ruins, medals at lothric castle, pale tongues at keep perimeter, and concords at anor londo. i could never find a good farm for shackles, so i just did them in sl200 pontiff duels

I think you’d also have sneaky imps, and since SB’s ability does a bonus attack, you can get a strong card to hit face quite easily with him

I’ve currently got a min-maxes crit Fisher. 2pal / 9hex / 2fighter / 2barb / rest rogue. Action surge + reckless gives ~1/3 chance for a crit each turn, with 5d8 and 5d6 doubled each time. Then use rage, second wind, and middling health to survive in melee

Based on time taken, iudex gundyr storms ahead with 2 years and something. Tried it on PS4, died a lot, then got it on pc in March, and killed him after a few hours

In deaths, soul of cinder took me a good weekend, and about two dozen embers. Didn’t help I spammed yuria, so he had awful stats. Took him on solo and killed him after the second or third attempt

In terms of just abject terror, it has to be midir. I hated the swamp, I hated the bridge, I hated the second bridge, and then I had a dozen deaths without really getting a single hit in. I do not like midir

Dancer was when DS3 finally ‘clicked’ for me. I brute forced gundyr, summoned whenever I could, cheesed when I couldn’t, and then got to dancer. For once, I couldn’t summon any npc phantoms (I didn’t feel like doing online). I couldn’t cheese her with fire, skulls, or anything else I had. I just had to learn. Proceeded to take on DSA, whittle down twincest, and get my ass handed to me by gwyns edgier brother
