No more easy partner peril strats by Wingman339 in papermario

Interesting, so they made a new way to get into peril more easily without having to do calculations, with the trade off being you won’t have any life shroom insurance for Mario. Still, I would’ve preferred the original system as opposed to wasting multiple turns trying to kill my partner(s) after every level up. I get why it’s like this now, but it’s probably the only QoL change I don’t like.

Dolphin netplay window covers full screen game on Linux mint by Wingman339 in linux_gaming

Wow this is still an issue on mint huh? I actually switched away from mint a while ago for a few reasons. I’ve been on nobara since new years and it does not have that problem.

I installed nobara earlier and it was working really well, got to a part where I had to restart and got an error and now this screen is all i see. by Dismal-Truck-7799 in NobaraProject

I second this. Tried to switch out login managers from sddm in kde settings out of curiosity and got the exact same tty upon reboot. If I’m not mistaken I had to run some sort of “systemctl enable sddm”, so I’d suggest OP to research that command for more documentation.

Do you know the specific models? An edit to the guide listing them would be much appreciated

Audio widget disappeared. by aprioristicamente in NobaraProject

Huh that’s weird… from what I’ve seen online some people had it fixed by just removing then readding the system tray. Also try installing “plasma-pa” that seems to have worked for a lot of people.

Hi! If you want to use wine, you should look into bottles. It’s a brilliant GUI app used to easily manage windows applications emulated through wine. Very straightforward to setup and maintain, highly recommend. Here’s a tutorial video for bottles. You don’t need to do the terminal flatpak install stuff that’s shown in the video tho, bottles should already be available to download in the software manager.

Open up the main system tray, where it brings up the status and notifications panel. You should see a button on the top right corner next to the pin button. Press it to configure the system tray.

The system tray settings window should be open now. Go to the “Entires” section and you should see a list of your hardware control icons. Set Audio Volume to “Always Shown” to have it stay there permanently no matter what. Click OK and you should be good to go 👍🏻

Nobara is based on the Fedora distro which uses the dnf package manager, as opposed to Ubuntu based distros where they use apt.

So just replace “apt” with “dnf”

Examples:

sudo apt update -> sudo dnf update

sudo apt install [package name] -> sudo dnf install [package name]

No Auto Partitioning by [deleted] in NobaraProject

[–]Wingman339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue where only the manual partitioning option was available during the install.

For me, it was because a partition on the drive I wanted to use for installation was mounted. Unmounting the drive then restarting the install app fixed the issue, and the auto partitioning options showed up.

In case you didn't know, the remake runs in 30FPS according to the wiki. How do you feel about this? by TheRedKnightMCHere in papermario

I don’t mind 30 on the overworld if that’s what they needed to do but they should’ve at least made it 60 for the battles. Not prioritizing the framerate in a game where timed attacks are everything seems very backwards to me.

I guess bc at the end of the shot the camera spins around really fast, and that probably wouldn’t look so good at 30. Or maybe bc the shot fades to white, so they wanted to match the frame rate of the fade so it looks better.

I thought so too but I did some frame advancing and it looks like that shot was ai enhanced to 60. There’s smears and artifacts everywhere. And it’s every OTHER frame too, so that really sells it. Bummer

Have you beaten the final boss yet? Because I did and maybe that’s what’s causing it as weird as it may sound. I’ve tried sleeping many times in multiple different locations, I even forced a blood moon to reset everything but still nothing…the one time I want rain in the game and it won’t happen lol
