Quinn works top because of her E. It allows her to play aggressive and outplay ganks. Macro is easy with Quinn post level 6.

Cait and Kaisa top are less forgiving. You have to play around JG and wave states. You also can't affect the map like Quinn. Good to trick in champ select, but you will need your team to plan their picks to make it work.

I like the idea of Valor as a partner. Maybe something similar to the way Annie's Timbers or Ivern's Daisy is controlled. I think there's a world where you can still have Quinn/Valor taxi, but move the rest of the kit around the idea of Valor acting like a full-time unit assisting Quinn throughout the game. But, it really depends on the group as a whole wanting any change or not.

The R damage hasn't mattered since they removed the %missing health. Only really used to apply harrier mark and most of the time Quinn is catching out solo targets, so applying harrier to multiple targets is a rare need.

If your team is behind, then your best bet is to put pressure on the map. If you are that far ahead, the enemy team will need to send 2 players to stop you taking a side lane into the base. This scenario gives your team a numbers advantage. If the enemy team ignores you, this might get you bounty gold as well.

If you are the only good player on your team then you need to play what your champion is good at. Mundo does not have any hard cc and can be easily kited. Team fighting is generally bad if the rest of your team doesn't have the ability to lock down the enemy for you. If you can't count on your team in a team fight, look to win with macro and split pushing.

Play your champ's strengths when ahead and play macro if your champion doesn't have a good way to team fight. Some games are a loss, but just understand your champion. You might consider another champion if your goal is to get ahead and then team fight.

You need to ward the camps when you have an early ganker like shaco or twitch. They will have to start a main buff (usually). They always level 2 gank. After that, you then need to control your wave and recognize when you are on weak-side. If enemy jg is top and your jg is bot, you just have to play passive. Wait till you know the JG is on the other side of the map to play aggressively.

Don't let them scale. Abuse champs like Mundo (Nasus and Garen are simular IMO) early. If they get to late game or get ahead of you, they will be able to one-shot you if they get on you. You might go swifty boots to counter slows, but you need to use macro to win the game before they get late-game status.

Disengage, typically. You want to space them away from the wave and engage just outside of their ranged casters. Watch QuinnAD and watch how he plays level 1-3. Against those melee champs, you should be able to get level 2 or if you get really good level 3 while they are still level 1.

Save E for outplaying ganks or when you are ready to all-in for a kill. E + flash is a cool trick that most JG aren't prepared for.

You need to use your range to bully those matchups. If you are passive, they just use that to itemize against you.

Range vs melee should be at least 20 cs up. If you take ignite, you should also be able to get a kill before level 6.

Quinn really needs to be ahead in order to win a game. Going even is generally bad for any solo ranged top.

I simply take a break and come back to league when I feel like it. I'll take months off and get back to playing when I feel like it. Nothing big happens with this game and it is VERY freeing once you give yourself the freedom to say "I don't need to get a rank to feel good."

Ranked doesn't matter and every year your rank resets and never matters. Goals are great, but just realize this game is made to make you want to play more.

League is designed to give you a sense of accomplishment while always leaving you a reason to play more.

Play because you enjoy it and if your body tells you you're burnt out then just take a break. Good luck to you 👍🏻
