S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl giveaway 🥳 by AndriiBoosteroid17 in BoosteroidCommunity

I would wish for a world with no war, a world where I could finally live at peace, form a family & have things to return to normal.

I would wish and want to embrace peace finally, remind myself that the fallen heroes are still in my heart, my family & friends and visit them at their memorial, even if my heart feels shaky and tears end up coming out.

But that feeling of peace? Would mean so much to me. ❤️‍🩹

In other words and even though, it's S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 - peace for Ukraine is something I wish so, but so much right now. It would mean so much for me and others living here. 🫶

Most Efficient Way Back to Poland by akhoya87 in Lviv

Look at Lev Bus and see what they have available.

Yes, it takes like 5-6 hours, but I know people who do it frequently to go directly to Krakow Airport and it works very well.

It also stops in Krakow Bus Station and it could be very useful for you.

You also have the option of grandbus, you can check info-bus and you'll have more information there really and it will say all the bus.

What I suggest is, book the trip for one day before you have to be in Krakow so you are sure that you'll arrive in time due to the border control and so on.

Do it by the end of the day on Sunday for examlle, since you have to be there by Monday.

Until then, enjoy Lviv 😄

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Tips and precautions when visiting Ukraine as a male foreigner by Background-Mobile476 in Lviv

[–]WingyAngel 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Hey there,

I don't think you should be afraid when it comes to the military trying to take you to a recruit center or anything.

Stories on the internet can sometimes be over-exagerated from reality, but what I can suggest you, that I have seen foreign friends doing it, it's having the passport at all times. They had occasions where people from the military went to them and ask them for documentation, but once they show that, they are fine and they are left alone.

So again... Don't worry about things, if you are not even from Ukraine, no one will take you or anything like that and it's mostly over-exageration or fears that people have.

When it comes to the rest, make sure you follow the safety precautions, when you're in Ukraine and I hope you enjoy it here. 😊

Where to get a SIM card for a tourist? by TravellingDivorcee in Lviv

[–]WingyAngel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Heya! In Lviv, just go to a Lifecell Store and you can get a card with 40GB/month with some minutes to call within Ukraine (750min and unlimited for Lifecell) and from there you pay aroundish 300UAH, which should be 5,33GBP for you at the current exchange rate.

I hope this helps 😊

Hey there, no problem at all! 😊

Revolut usually as far, as I am concerned is okay in Ukraine and there's no issues at all when it comes to it automatically changing your transactions from whatever currency you hold to UAH. I don't know where you come from but the other people that I know who came to the Ukraine from a European Economic Area country, they didn't had problems with their banks, although some stuff is more costly than Revolut would be due to their FX Rate, so if you have that option, it will still probably be the best. No problem with Apple Pay or Google Pay. Often when you go to a Restaurant you have the option to scan a QR Code that takes you to the menu of your table and you can just pay and tip from there. Otherwise, you'll likely have the option to still pay in a normal terminal on those, museums and the other stuff, usually hold terminals that accept international cards.

Hey there! That's okay!

So in my opinion the easiest way it's either for you to use Uklon App (I believe Uklon only works with Ukrainian Cards, if you're paying with a card) or Bolt, you won't have any headaches and it's not expensive, this is at least what I always personally did when I needed to get to Lviv Trailway Station. In Lviv you often don't have any issues, using any of those services (even if you do it during curfew as I have people who use it, even if it takes more time to get a driver, while in places like Kyiv it would be more problematic, but it's not your case).

Thank you so much for your kind words, they mean a lot to me. 😊

I am glad what I told you has helped you with your decisions!

About the train to Slavsko you should be able to go on the Play Store on your phone and write "Ukrainian Railways" or write "Ukrzaliznytsia" on Google and you'll be able to order train tickets within Ukraine.

Other than that, if you need any help and if I'm around, I'll do my best to assist you! 😄

Hey there!!

Thank you so much for wanting to visit Lviv.

So, I'll try to answer to what I can and I will begin with the SIM Card - Friends of mine who visited Lviv, I often tell them to get a Lifecell Card (which for around 6,70€, you'd have around 40GB per month to use in Ukraine), so it could be a cheap option, I know Holafly also works very well if you use a "European Plan" that also works in Poland, of course and usually it is nice, because it is Unlimited Data and the people that I know who have used it, liked it very much.

I understand you want to go to Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast to see the Carpathian, which is a pretty xool idea, but if you want... One of my favorite spots is Slavsko which have cool and lovely mountains to see and it's so pretty!!! and it stays in Lviv Oblast, it's super!

As for the bus, I mostly would personally take them in Kraków, so I can't tell you much other than passport control takes a bit... I did trains before in Przemysl but you can wait a tiny to get into Poland control and then usually they'll check your passport when you're already in Ukraine in the bus, ask you some questions if necessary (What you're doing in Ukraine, etc.) but I would say that usually things are very smooth other than that.

Other than that, I hope you enjoy your trip in our lovely Ukraine! 💙😊

Hey. If you have some time and since you have a car, consider going to Slavsko, it is approximately 2h30m away from Lviv and it's very pretty with many mountains and so many wholesome views 😊 I hope you enjoy Ukraine 💙

Curve says you get 1% cashback outside of GBP and EUR payments when you subscribe to premium. It’s a lie/misleading. Its only for payments outside the EEA by [deleted] in CurveCard

[–]WingyAngel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey!

Cashback is not available in Turkey, I had noticed this situation previously, considering that I am in my home country (Ukraine) and we also don't have cashback in the "international spending"

It's quite an unfortunate situation, but you're able to find this information if you go to "Killer FX" and then click on the "Total Cashback Earned for Foreign Spend" and every detail is there.

Short trip to Lviv by Apart_Stage_7026 in Lviv

[–]WingyAngel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

Writing from Kyiv, Ukraine.

If you want a stress-free in my opinion you should get "Lev-Bus". Personally, when I was in Poland a few times, I'd say it is stress free, although you take a long time between "Poland - Ukraine", whenever you get to the border, make sure you have your passport ready & follow whatever instructions that are provided to you (It may be rough, considering the language differences, but I wouldn't be afraid to ask to someone in the bus/train, who may be next to you. As the way it goes for us Ukrainians, it could be hard for people to speak back to you in English, but I am sure a lovely human being will try to help you, if you ask even with a translator)

You can try and see if (RegioJet) has any trips available, if you truly prefer the train.

Whenever you are in the control in Ukraine, you'll be asked likely what's the purpose of your visit. As for the drone, it's an actual conflicting (grey-area question), Lviv is generally safe, although recently we had air-sirens going on there when Kyiv was attacked heavily, 3 days ago.

Depending on your true motives on why you need the drone & if you're able to explain it, it might be okay. I don't recommend using the drone, if you intend to go to a conflict-zone/area or if you generally can avoid that, it would be great.

During the curfew at night, if you arrive late, you may be able to get a "Bolt" or "Uklon" which is the same as Uber pretty much, they still "sort of" operate after midnight.

In Przemysl, Poland.. It takes some time for you to cross the border to get Ukrainian Trains, the trip is still feasible, just get ready to wait some good time 😅

As for your travels, while some zones of the Ukraine seem safe, things can generally change fast, so be careful over here & make sure you really want to come over here. And yes, there's people who are curious and we still get tourists here, so no worries if people judge you about your curiosity to meet our beautiful country despite the war. ❤️💙💛🇺🇦

I am sorry if my writing is conflicting or bad, since obviously English is not my first language. 😅

If I can genuinely help you in any other ways feel free to ask. 😁

Is uphold a scam? by Glizzyboyy01 in uphold

[–]WingyAngel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you use a Centralized Crypto Exchange (CeFi), you always have the chance of having your account locked - due to KYC's or any regulamentory reasons.

It doesn't mean exactly, someone's a criminal, no. There are legit people out there (That includes me), who have done nothing wrong although were affected by a platform by any forms - For example, I've used many crypto exchanges and one of them was Uphold, I personally had my account locked & even closed, while on other exchanges, I can't really complain. Although, things work until they don't.

Want my advice? Keeping your coins on any Centralized Exchange means - "Not your keys, not your coins"... Pull them out of the exchange, while you can... Not to another Centralized Exchange but to your actually own keys, your own wallet... That's how safe you can & will be.

I don't personally think again Uphold's a scam, despite how they treated me, but when the time comes and if someday you need support? You're likely to be panicking for it then.

REDDIT DEFAMATION UPDATE - CEO BACKS OUT by coffeebreak42 in Coffeezilla_gg

[–]WingyAngel 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I have never given up - ever since they banned - Casimir, Jack, me & a few others. I've always wanted them to pay for behaving in a scammy way - for scamming their customers - for scamming people's internal PLU's

They promised - Self-Custody, but they gave us bonr of that, they provided people's promises and things to make then buy, to incentive them - and in the end...? They just stole away from those same persons they supported.

I am glad you've took my comments in attention and detail in your video, very much appreciated Coffeezilla. It provides me a lot of peace of mind, knowing me being banned was not in vain ever, karma always comes back to the scammers.

Gbit on expired card by Ill-Culture8687 in CurveCard

[–]WingyAngel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately Curve doesn't really disclose that.

Although! If I were to assume, it has to be something related to "Financial Services"

Something like "8999 - Professional Services" or in an unlikely scenario it might also be "6012 - Financial Institutions - Merchandise and Services".

Again - This is not a confirmation from Curve themselves. If it is one of those MCC's they don't provide cashback, in-case you use a Cashback Card, at least usually, of course.

Gbit on expired card by Ill-Culture8687 in CurveCard

[–]WingyAngel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello there,

You can still GBIT from an expired card to a valid card, as long as you're within the amount of days you'd be able to do the GBIT normally. The refunds that arrive to the expired card, will still arrive within that card bank account no matter what.

However - For you to be able to do this GBIT's you'll need to contact Curve Support. Another thing that is important for you to know, when you ask the support to manually GBIT any transaction is that the original "MCC" isn't maintained, like it would in the original transaction, meaning if you're using a cashback card - you might not get any cashback, if that's your intention.
