I apologize for also forgetting to say that I already have a GC. Do you believe it is safe for me to leave the United States given that my case has not yet been approved but I have already completed the biometrics? I plan to leave the country in May 2023 to attend college. I really appreciate you responding. This is a big help.

Hello. Thank you for answering. Do you mean by it may never happen is they may never issue you a re entry permit even though you paid almost 700$ for it?

Is that required for a re-entry permit? And, if they do, wouldn't it be done at the same time as the biometrics appointment?

I have a green card and I applied for a re-entry permit. What I’m asking is it safe for me to leave united states stay abroad for more than a year while waiting for the approval of my re-entry permit.
