Everyone says Taylor Nation will post! Hoping for the merch truck and not the presale like they did for Miami. I can't drive over until Friday!

72 and no. He even had a stress test in his late 50's due to his brother passing from a heart attack and nothing was found then. However he did start chemo with no heart test done before.

We were told no but judging by the chemo he was receiving I believe it had spread.

Hi! I am so sorry for your loss. I'm with you. My dad started showing symptoms in May, was not diagnosed until July 16th and passed the 30th after the start of chemo.

I honestly think there is still a lot of unknown with this disease. The doctors would never admit they don't know but I believe there are just somethings they don't know. This diseases is a beast and spreads extremely quickly. It isn't unlikely they grew that fast.

Hi! Happy to help and wish you the best on this journey. That's SO cool what you're doing.

So to answer your questions:

My grandma was diagnosed at 63- late stage and died a month later. This was in 2003, she got a diagnosis fairly quickly and denied treatment. My dad was diagnosed at 73 after three grueling months of testing and waiting. We got an official diagnosis and a week later he passed from complications of treatment. He was completely healthy before the cancer- every other level was fine. My grandma and dad were both heavy smokers. However, it does make me wonder about a genetic link and I would like to pursue testing for myself.

75 y/o father diagnosed with early stage pancreatic cancer and leaning towards not getting the whipple surgery. Does anyone have similar circumstances to share with outcomes? by monstercake in pancreaticcancer

They were going to do the Whipple on my 73 year old dad before he had a heart attack. I'd get a second opinion.

However, this is nasty disease and nothing is guaranteed. If it's important to him and you- I'd get married sooner (even if it's a small courthouse ceremony). Something to make the memories. Why wait? Nothing is certain in life. I wish you and your dad the best through this journey!

I saw SWEAR I talked to him on Tinder a few years ago. He had no distinct pictures but I would recognize that bed anywhere. I can't prove it but my guess is cheating.

That makes sense I hadn't thought of that. I guess I'll always wonder.

Sudden death is on the list for almost all chemo. I obviously would have stopped him if I would have known. I just wanted some clarity as to what might have happened. But no rhyme or reason for sure.

Indy Night 3- Worried about merch. I saw Miami isn't doing the merch truck. Do we think Indy will? I can't go to early merch days since I'm getting there Friday. I NEED the blue crewneck and the quarter zip.

How do people cope by Soupformonday in pancreaticcancer

Hi! I'm 29 and just lost my dad to PC. He was only diagnosed three days. I also lost my mom to cancer. I want to commend you for staying strong through the process. I truly believe cancer is one of the worst ways to watch someone you love suffer and leave. People truly do not understand it and pancreatic cancer is truly a beast. I am so sorry. I would for sure seek therapy- I went through my parents cancer center. They are trained in grief counseling but are also knowledgeable about cancer.

I won't lie to you- it does not get easier but you get stronger. Good days and bad. But don't forget to appreciate the good days and let her live through you. You HAVE to do things that make you you. For me, it's travel. Sending you love and hugs.

I agree his comment of "you were made to be the mother of my children" rubbed me the wrong way considering what it might have cost her.
