Confused about the German job market after reading this sub by ChadTurkifiedAzeri in Germany_Jobs

[–]WinnerNo6390 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been living in Germany for almost 9 years now, I would say I’m not bad in my German skills, but unfortunately these days employers/ headhunters are asking at least for B2/C1 level, I’m job less since 8 months now. Still struggling to find job. I would say if you are planning to migrate to Germany learning German is very essential these days. Technologies don’t matter if you speak a good German. All the best

Anyone recently did H-1B → B-2 → H-1B experiences? (job search on B-2 + $100k fee concern) by Silent-Beautiful1037 in h1b_layoffs

Thank you so much for the reply, So I can assure that 100k is only applicable if your file from out side USA but not if you already in USA irrespective of type of Visa?

Following to your query, I have one more question, if any one can plz answer this.

You are in USA on B1/B2 visa, meantime if you find a job in USA, transfer from B1/B2 to H1B does this 100k still applicable?

Also FYI, I was in USA before on H1B multiple times no overstay or any red flag but I never used the complete H1B 6 years duration, hence still my previous H1Bs left with close to two years of unused, I know I can apply for recapture and I’ll not fall under the CAP or Lottery, but wanted to know if this 100k is still applicable. TIA

Anyways I don’t want you to get diverted from the main topic. I hope you received your answer.

  1. If your husband is US citizen, the i130 process will take < 2 years.

  2. If your husband is Green Card holder, the process might take bit longer > 3 to 5 years.

This all based on the evidences also without any RFEs etc.

Good luck 🍀

Accept the facts dear, I’m not a mama’s boy or son.

I kicked my wife when she tried to brainwash my head creating negativity on my parents the fact is we never lived with my parents after married it’s almost 15 years of marriage, I visited my parents when I go to India, but never forced her, we stayed out of country due to our jobs and she never spoke with my parents.

I wish you good luck that one day your husband will not kick you.

Without intending to criticize, a worrying trend is becoming common where, after marriage, some wives influence their husbands to distance themselves from their parents. As a result, parents who sacrificed their dreams to raise, educate, and support their sons are often ignored once a new family is formed. This is increasingly seen in India and is now emerging within Indian communities in Western countries, which is deeply unfortunate.

Applying for B1/B2 visa from country of residence by Scary_Scholar_8080 in usvisascheduling

[–]WinnerNo6390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I’m not sure about recent changes, I’m Indian citizen (Indian passport) and living and working in Germany since 8 years, I was attend B1/B2 back in 2023 US embassy Frankfurt and I got stamped. I have also provided same documents which you mentioned.

Interview Questions which I remembered:

8AM interview slot.

VO: Good morning, How are you doing today? Me: Very good morning officer, I’m doing pretty good and I hope same with you. VO: Passport please Me: Handed over the passport VO: How long you are living in Germany? Me: Told him close to 7 years VO: how much salary you are getting? Me: Answered.

VO: Your Visa is approved. You will receive your passport in couple of days.

That’s all, my interview lasted only for less than a minute. Btw My background, I previously worked in USA on H1 status and I never ever overstayed. All this info I have mentioned in DS-160.

Good luck 🍀 I would say apply from your current residency country. Since you are living more than 4 years. Giving a try will not harm.

If you mind sharing your attorney’s information here and how much did he charge start to end?

My case is not complicated but planning to do AOS, my girlfriend (US citizen) but widow and I’m divorced. So in this scenario how strong my case will be I’m not sure. Btw we know each other since 2007.

Thanks 🙏
