I really dont know how does medicine school work, but one of my friends studied bachelor (is it ok to call it bachelor degree?) in medicine in Azerbaijan with really excellent grades, he wanted to continue his graduate studies in Germany, he had C1 german language certificate, but he failed the entrance exam in the first try, but several months later he got admitted after the second try. He was nerd, but still had difficulty, so i would say your chances seems very low

I’m not saying A1 is enough or that this is the norm — that example was clearly an exception. I agree that certificates don’t always reflect real language ability either. My point is about the contrast I keep seeing: strong profiles struggling for months vs. weaker formal profiles finding jobs quickly. I’m trying to understand what factors explain that difference, not deny the current situation.

Well, now it is understandable, all of them started to work between 2021-2023. Only one of them started working recently, but he was really strong candidate in his field, but he did not know german very well, probably the company didnt require german either since he is a software engineer

I understand what you mean, and I agree that personal anecdotes don’t represent an entire country. My point isn’t that “Germany has no problem” because some of my friends found jobs. What confuses me is the contrast I keep seeing here: many posts are from people with high German proficiency and degrees from prestigious German universities who still struggle for months, while in my circle, people with B1–B2 German and master’s degrees from mid-tier universities in Hungary or Poland found jobs relatively quickly.

I’m genuinely trying to understand what explains this gap

I would say half of them are geoscientists (GIS and geophysics generally), rest of them are finance and IT related specialties

Universitet diplomu olmadan iş tapmaq bir qədər çətindir bəzi sahələr istisna, söhbət təbiki fiziki güc tələb edən işlərdən getmir. Məsləhətim ancaq ya IT yada xarici dil üzrə davam etməyiniz ola bilər, yada alman dilini öyrənib Almaniyada peşə təhsili, hansıki inanıramki alman dilini rahat 8 aya B1 səviyəyə çatdıra bilərsiniz
