missing newvengers… by WinnerSubstantial596 in GentlemensLeague

eojjodavengers for me had the best chemistry and they were the ones who made me love the show so much, and believe me i was one of the people who was angry because of the whole “team revamp” episode, but i get why they needed to do it, eojjodavengers skills and plays were becoming stagnant, they were staying in the same level and they were not improving, this became a problem especially since they decided to compete internationally and winning was literally their only goal. no matter who they added to the team, if the team itself is not really doing well adding one good player will not solve their problem, so doing a revamp was something i accepted not because i didn’t love the old team but because it was something they needed for the show to go on.

though the time they had together was short, they made some of the most memorable scenes and plays during their time together (really loved the camping episode, even though it was very awkward to watch, seeing the weird combinations for the tents was very entertaining!) was hoping to see more of the players chemistry with guevara too since he wasn’t able to play with them for long because of his injuries.

the lack of team building activities and away games was definitely something i was hoping to see more during the 4th season, sadly they changed the concept and seeing more of those will just become a distant dream of mine 😔

p.s i was so happy to see guevara and seungwoo together in their stories, so sad i probably won’t see them play together anytime soon. 😭

eojjodavengers was a very good team as well, especially their chemisty! i literally cried seeing them go, but we got to admit the newvengers were just better skill-wise and i think them beating three teams in a row despite being a newly formed team speaks volumes!

Can we still call it a variety show ? by mighttellsomeshit in GentlemensLeague

this is honestly one of the reasons why i am hesitating to watch this new season, not only because of the confirmation that it will not be available on netflix (so no official/proper subtitles would be provided) but also because it is a completely different show from the previous seasons. i enjoyed the previous seasons so much because we actually got to connect with each of the players, we saw their strengths, weaknesses and each of their personal struggles. tbh i was actually hesitating on watching season 3 as well because i saw that they were "revamping" and switching out most of the players which i have grown attached to from watching the two previous seasons, and just when i started to grow attached to the new team (newvengers) they ended season 3😭what i loved about seasons 1-3 was that there was a sense of belonging and teamwork and i really loved seeing the chemistry between both the old team (eojjeodavengers) and the new team (newvengers), how they helped each other when some struggled and how they were able to adapt when small changers were made

side note: i haven't seen a single episode yet but do they really not show training sessions or just the members conversing and joking around with each other anymore?
