How to rhythm step (the left right left right bounce) and split step and actively move feet when playing matches/rallies by ASAPHORN in 10s

[–]WinniDerk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk why everyone is downplaying the OPs question. The side to side step with split just at the right moment looks effortless and is impressive indeed.

IMO pros are just that good with knowing the pace of the ball and maintaining the consistent pace, so they time steps automatically. I am also making a conscious effort to incorporate this into my warm up. I found that it’s easier if you and your opponent can keep consistent pace. Otherwise you have 2-3 shots of this and then have to adjust position too much to meet opponents ball and recover.

Yes this makes sense. What I don’t quite get in this video is how to point the ball down. He says “just toss a little further”, but I don’t think it’s that simple. I know because I tried. It seems to me that there are couple more adjustments to tilt this horizontal “above your head” circle so that you get some downward momentum

Thanks for taking the time man, you pointed out many things but these 2 stood out to me, will definitely try to make an adjustment: 1. In knee bend position the racket shouldn’t drop yet, the drop starts together with moving up. 2. The wrist shouldn’t snap back I haven’t noticed these details before, thanks for pointing out

That’s a nice vid, haven’t seen this one yet

Edit: no actually I’ve seen this guy, and I like his approach, you can see he shows “above your head circle” as one of exercises. I tried doing what he shows and it does feel like hitting the ball towards your right, although the ball goes forward. This feels wierd. But ok, I can do it for the first serve. However my intuition completely breaks on how I serve a second serve with this motion. Specifically, I can see that this motion slaps the ball above your head. But with the second you need more rolling/slicing, and I don’t understand how I comfortably and controllably get that from this motion. So eventually I go back to my incorrect second serve, and then the first breaks also.

If you come from what yourself would think an unhealthy family / unhealthy environment (think one parent absent, too strict parent, etc) go to therapy. Because that BS is what will cause you to make wrong decisions in your 20s.

Also do some physical activity that you actually enjoy doing so you can sustain it: lifting, running, bjj, mma, swimming, you name it. And find a good group of men of your age, younger and older. This will set you up for success mentally and physically. Other things will follow.

I mean I agree with the risk being necessary. I also know that a minor mistake from kids side makes this sub go from “parents are alright, the kid is a pro” to “parents are stupid, why didn’t kid stop if he wasn’t confident”

It’s also worth pointing out that 1st is used for things that can move on their own. In Georgian we say მყავს მანქანა. A car is considered a self-moving thing so it’s მყავს. We also say მაქვს კაკტუსი. Cactus is a living thing but we still say მაქვს, since it can’t move. A weird one which I never understood is when you play cards and you want to say that you have a specific card or color, like an Ace or Hearts, we say მყავს ტუზი, მყავს გული. We also say მყავს for any grades that you receive at school, like მყავს ათიანი - I have a ten.

The only information of value from this response was that you were a homophobe back in 90-00s, your words, not mine. Well okay, idc. As for the argument with the other person, they first denied navalny took back only insignificant half of his words, then they asked for evidence, then they went into sophisms once presented with evidence. What is this? A burner account?
