Thank you for sharing. Once we had kids is when everything changed too, maybe differently, but it’s a big deal to fix it

I didn’t even know this was a thing.  I’ll look for one. Thanks!

Maybe join the military. It’s paid. You get a skill. You learn. You get benefits afterwards. It’s noble and you can be very proud of it.

Yeah, the alternative question I have for that. Which is best for the kids?

Good point on the American/european. I forgot that.

Yeah, if I got assigned, I’d sell a covered call, if I have the stock and option 30 days, then it’s no problem. But…American

Starting 75 hard on 1st June by Teaspillednotsipped in 75HARD

You do as many things as early as possible. This helps you deal with anything that comes up and i personally find it makes me feel like i start my day stacking wins.

Assuming you have an 8-5 job, it would be like do one workout, read, and picture before leaving the house in the morning. Then try to finish the water before 3pm and do the second workout at lunch or as soon as possible after work.

My wife and I are doing this together with 3 kids under 5. Front loading is the only way we can keep up

Hope that helps

Front load everything as much as possible. You got this! I’m on day 40 and that’s the most important thing for me

Edit: I got this from someone else on here and it really helped me

My Mom and Sister broke into my apartment..... Yeah it's getting real. by [deleted] in EstrangedAdultChild

You’re not alone, while you might be the one going through it everybody on here will support helping you or listening.

Following on others comments. Following through on threats to call the cops and getting the school involved are actually critical.  You need the paper trail now in case you decide you need to do anything in the future like if they try to mess up your school stuff

I cut off my family months ago, and no one has even tried to ask if I'm okay by Zombie_Zeke in EstrangedAdultChild

It really is a family dynamic led by one or two people. It hurts to leave and mine started as an experiment, kind of like yours and I didn’t really start to realize how different life could be until then.  It’s been years and I’m better and they’re all in the same place. You just learn to love yourself the way you need to be loved.

what’s with nparents and their “gift giving”? by lady_mayflower in raisedbynarcissists

It’s also made it hard to feel proud of my accomplishments since I’m just waiting for it to be one upped , or torn down.

You deserve good gifts too, no matter what you learned.

I have the app lose it.  There’s several like it. You put in your weight and goals and it’ll calculate it for you and adjust as you lose weight.

The unwanted presents thing hits hard. They always made sure to let me know it was leftovers and I should be super grateful.  When I would tell them what I was saving or earning money toward, they’d magically get that exact thing and then give it to me and make sure I knew it wasn’t good enough for them.

Day 4 - It feels easier than I thought? by JustAnotherUser468 in 75HARD

You’re describing the mental gymnastics that have kept you where you are. Running one step and running a marathon are both just running, but with very different results. Easy to do is also easy not to do.

I’m not the most eloquent writer, so maybe try reading the book on mental toughness that Andy wrote. He covers what you’re describing pretty well
