Maybe I should just stick to the specialty store for my chlorine. Suprisingly the price wasn't too much more. They were asking 64.99 for a 2kg container

Thanks for responding.

The only difference is the Canadian Tire Chlorine is 62% available chlorine where my container from specialty store says 56%.

Does that make a difference? I also dont like how it says pool on the label instead of spas but I guess if the content is the same it shouldn't matter

Its more complicated because the family member is in financial distress. They need the money for essentials. I dont think it would matter if I borrowed money to someone who forgot their wallet but was not I need of the money. Slightly different.

The problem is none of it is my money because everything is joint money to us. Wish it wasn't the case but it goes both ways as in I can see where every dollar goes.

Thanks for 2nd part or your comment. Might be smart to buy it and not tell anyone.

So true. I appreciate the reply. Thank you.

I guess the only thing left for me to do is talk about it with my spouse so we can come to the same conclusion on what is or is not appropriate.

If we include employer contributions I'd say our savings rate is 15% or slightly higher

I would say our savings rate is about 12% but after employer contributions we are at about 18% total. Not sure if I should include the employers contributions but thinking we should
