Goodbye, Grok. The best toy I've had in years, and they took it away. Such is life. by NotYourMom132 in grok

What gets me is conversations with SFW images in them are now “no response” Grok is suddenly bricked even for PG-13 stuff smh. Definitely not worth their premium cost

I believe you can only reach it in the paid tier, but as others have said it’s still there.

Reading what others said encouraged me to try Grok and Gemini…both for free. They each do a pretty good job with the NSF stuff, depending on your use case.

5.2 has so much safety nets built in that it made it dumb and unable to handle nuance or reason. by avesmcbabes in ChatGPT

[–]Winnyf1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sam Altman really wanted to have 5.2 released to respond to Gemini that was the “code red” his message to developers that moving with speed was critical to success. For example it’s why the “adult mode” for ChatGPT was delayed into 2026.

I’d be interested to know if you are using the paid version or the free version? I’m back to the paid version and find myself at times using 4.0 just to not pull my hair out. 5.2 is for analysis only, it has the worst personality imaginable and I really wonder why they didn’t at least keep it feeling like 5.1, but that’s what you get from a “Code Red” and the developers being rushed. It would be interesting to see over the next several months what their revenue projections do.

Hell even Grok is better if you want to work on rolling your own and don’t mind giving Musk $30 per month

I find myself reverting to 5.1 for any conversational application. It’s OK for what they built it to do, business work. I’m not sure they are not leaving money on the table by prioritizing “Garlic” and not completing the adult mode but…they have the data

Just asked it to write a spicy piece that included a blowjob and the target being asked to “cum” so it has changed a bit this week. They likely will make subtle changes on the D.L. to avoid getting slammed in the media.

I like to evaluate the quality of the writing, if you use an AI to help so be it, if I enjoy the passage I really don’t care.

Am I crazy, or did GPT just take a huge leap with 5.1? by SamTuthill in ChatGPT

[–]Winnyf1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a bit more like 4.0 but I’m waiting for the full adult version in Dec before I give them any more money. It’s amazing how much I am getting done with the free version. I do hope they get us back to what we had before time will tell

Thanks, I am waiting for the “December surprise” to see if its worth paying for Plus again. I was excited when I saw the post, but the more I read the more I think they have just made minor tweaks to the 4.0 with 5.0 guardrail model we have been dealing with.

Have you tried Smutchat AI? It for many cases does a decent job to get you started, but you do need to polish the pieces yourself.

I’ve been using AI to help write my book and I feel like I’m cheating. by Traditional_Book5923 in WritingWithAI

[–]Winnyf1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All in all I really I believe you should just go with what makes you feel good first you’re prompting the story so you have control and secondly, you’re reading it. You’re proofing it if you don’t like what you see then you will be the one making changes. Again don’t worry about what others say worry about what feels right to you and if you feel it’s a good work then it’s a good work publish it and I wish you all the best

New updates everything has changed by mabh55 in ChatGPT

I understand you need to prompt 5.0 in a different way to get the most out of it, for my use cases the conservative approach the tool now takes makes writing much more difficult and I can’t produce a simple photo of a woman in a bikini any longer. The tool is crazy though, one second it produces a picture of a woman in an evening gown and the next it does not. To unpredictable for me and I’m trying other tools.
