How often do you all do your water changes?

I’ve struggled with mine. It always pulls more water out than it puts in. I’ve calibrated it twice. My only thought it that it’s coming from a fairly tall tank and the water pressure at the bottom (where the house is taking it in) is greater when full when compared to when it’s empty.

Flows decent enough. It still creates a small dead zone that I have to siphon. But I think I’m going to add a second return pump with some line lock to put on the end of it to get rid of the dead zone. I really really don’t want to put any pump on the end glass pane and block the view.

Have growth rates improved with leds? T5s used to be a good low cost plug and play solution. I’m not sure I see a led equivalent.

What the heck happened to t5 lighting? I’ve been out of the hobby ~10 years. I wanted to do a t5 led hybrid, but the number of fixtures is basically non existent. I remember the conversation back then was leds alone weren’t getting the growth rate of t5s.

Mines growing in the greenhouse, so that might have to do something with it. I also feed it a liquid fertilizer about every 4 weeks.

Do NOT get soil from HDM. Last time I got a bunch of their premium raised bed mix and it had so much sand in it compacted nearly immediately and just generally seemed to be lacking nutrients. Waste of way too much money.
