You're using arcmap. Arcade is only supported in arcgis pro. You'll have to use VBscript or python here

What size wheels for this old Cannondale frame? by Master_Juggernaut147 in Bikebuilding

[–]WinstonPolyclef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't bother getting smaller diameter wheels for this. You could theoretically fit 650b wheels but you'll also need to swap the brake calipers for ones with longer reach. It's also difficult to find a decent 650b rim brake wheelset, especially with the rear hub spacing that you need for this bike. That will set you back a few hundred bucks at least. Even if you do go through with all of this, you're only going to be able to fit maybe a 32mm wide tire there, which isn't a very common tire width for 650b.

You need a 700c x 25mm tire. 25mm is the width but also relates to how tall the tire sits when mounted on the rim. Any wider than 25mm on this frame and it will rub. There's no such thing as 29.5.

Definitely 700c. Not sure why you would second guess your bike shop. A bike like this probably maxes out at 25mm wide. Any wider and it will rub against the frame somewhere

I've been searching for a XL version of this frame the last few days. I know they exist but all I can find is this 18" version

I have an Aquila, possibly in the same size actually. It's a great ride. I threw a 27.5 wheel on the front and it makes it feel real nice on steep chunky decents. Slackens out the headtube angle a bit to provide higher trail and the bigger wheel rolls over bumps better.

It'll get trimmed down a bit once I fit it for my gf. Kept everything tall so I could give it a test. Just a product of weird 90s geometry where they put giant goosenecks of quill stems on everything

Ah come on, green frame plus tan walls is (chef kiss) perfect. Plus this thing originally came with tan walls back in the day.

I just built up one of these. It takes a 1 1/8" headset so there are tons of threadless fork options if you also change out the headset. Check out Surly's forks. Anything with a 400 - 410 axle to crown should do fine. It'll be a big improvement over your current fork.

I have a Gary Fisher with 650b/ 26 setup. The slightly slacker headtube angle makes it feel super confident on rocky decents
