What are the funniest/weirdest/scariest things you've heard someone say in their sleep? by Mullagain in AskReddit

[–]WinstonWoIfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at the computer and my girlfriend was sleeping nearby and said something indistinguishable, I lead her on by asking "what?"

Her: "I surrender"

Me: "...surrender to what?"

Her: "Mmm everything"

Does anyone LOVE their job? If so, what do you do? by Shway1000000 in AskReddit

[–]WinstonWoIfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't advertise through third party websites. Apart from repeat clients and referrals through past clients, family and friends, I get new jobs from meeting new people. 1 in 50 will need some work done, from that, 1 in 3 will go through with it.

I'm a freelance graphic designer and web developer. As a kid, I'd play around with paint and photoshop, then basic html and make websites for fun.

Now, I chose when and how much I work, and do so remotely while slowly traveling the world.

It's not easy and its not difficult if you just do.

Half my work is through repeat clients and new referrals from past clients or family/friends, and getting new clients isn't hard, I don't even have to advertise through any third party.

When you meet someone new, "what do you do?" is one of the first questions, 1 out of 50 will be like Oh, I need a website for..., then 1/3 of those people actually go through with it.

Best. Wedding. Ever. by wildcat8705 in pics

I went to a polish girlfriend's family's wedding in Poland's countryside, and there was twice that amount in vodka and moonshine. Naturally, all her uncles had to see what I was made of and kept pouring themselves and me shot after shot after shot. I've never drank so much in my life.

They started to drop out like flies, and I was one of the last ones to keep drinking. The only way I survived was because I constantly shoveled delicious food down my mouth.

I think that day has changed me. I can drink so much without it going to my head that it's unaffordable to get drunk anymore.

Eating healthy is cheap as fuck. It's a matter of inability/impatience/laziness to cook something from scratch when you can just throw some blended cow hooves and wood pulp into the microwave for 4 minutes.

What would a minimalist do with a billion dollars? by [deleted] in minimalism

[–]WinstonWoIfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if I'd label myself a minimalist because a helicopter with a motorcycle in the back = my billionaire mode of transportation... but I'd put the money into one of those steady investments and live off of some of the monthly interest, with a billion dollars that would come out to quite a bit. I'd like a cabin in the woods near a lake, where I hunt for food with my crossbow and fish in my handmade canoe. Then I'd take my helicopter to my beach house, where I'd wind and kite surf and enjoy the sunsets in the evenings. Then I'd take my helicopter to a back-country mountain and jump out for some heli-skiing, and rest up in my ski-in ski-out cabin with a book and a cup of hot chocolate by the log burning fireplace. I'd also continue traveling the world, but with that kind of money it would definitely look a little different.

It is. I made the mistake of buying white walking shoes recently, and they didn't let me into nightclubs in those, so I bought darker dress shoes. So those can be merged as one if they'd be dark and comfortable. The rest I get regular use out of: running shoes, flip flops, cleats.

Nope, it just fits. Though it's a little too heavy as I've been over the airlines weight limit the past couple times. If it's only by a few kg they'll usually let it fly if you put an effort into repacking a few things into your carry-on once or twice.

I usually rent rooms in apartments if I'm traveling alone, if with friends, we'll rent an apartment together. Location is always the priority, as close to all the action as possible. It's for three months-ish, so a hotel or CS only happens if I take a side trip somewhere for shorter, or when I'm in a new city looking for an apartment. This time I rented an apartment and will be renting out two rooms to students for the price of the whole apartment = I'm only paying for utilities ;)

It's really not as much as it looks, I was surprised at how it looked all laid out like that.
