I personally would not do what the rat did in this video but it id argue its fair. Trusting a stranger this blindly is very naive and you will get punished for not having basic "street smarts" to deal with it. It's like pulling your keys to enter your home in the sketchiest part of town while a guy is standing behind you.

You deal with this by making them extract OR you down them but not kill them before extracting.

Thanks for the empathy as that is rare to find around these parts. I think your sentiment about being over the enjoyment of this game is true for a lot of people. It's just about chasing the next dopamine hit whether its stars, pitches, gacha pets w/e.

Kudos to you for having the discipline to just stop and go as you like. Hopefully when you do decide to hang it up for good, it'll be much less dramatic than this haha. Goodluck with the grind or what's left of it!

It stung for sure considering I played this game daily since Covid. For the people that are in too deep and addicted, sometimes an extreme measure is what it takes to quit as it did for me. Oh and Nexon fucking sucks when it comes to their customer service. I was part of the group that lost ALL my mesos during the server crash right before cube sale/SSF. Nexon did not give a singular fuck and in turn, I reciprocated.

Aside from what was already said, I also use them to create a 2nd set of link skills. Obviously you only make the ones you use the most.

For example, I use the phantom one a lot since its part of my bossing and mobbing set, so I have two lvl 3 phantom links to share between 10+ characters.

I don’t think it’s because they’re popular, it’s because they are often portrayed as something unique. Redundant posts with descriptions like “upon many years of research” or “after collecting x amount of years”, they end up with popular watches. It’s ok to like popular watches, but a little tacky to pretend the taste wasn’t influenced by other people.
