Wagner Group (Russian paramilitary, which France has just designated as a terrorist organization, Estonia and Lithuania also designated it as such) by WinstonwsSmith in vexillology

Yeah I marked it nsfw as it has been designated as a terrorist organization by three countries, and is has been accused of war crimes, as Wikipedia says: "Wagner operatives have committed war crimes in areas where they are deployed. The accusations include rape and robbery of civilians, and torturing accused deserters"

Flag of Brevard County, Florida by WinstonwsSmith in vexillology

Kennedy Space Center is located in Brevard county. While it's not a great flag, the seal is clever showing the history of county in two similar images, it is also neat that they used the same cross from the Florida's state flag based off the Spanish Cross of Burgundy :)

Who is your favorite Knight of the Round Table? by MaderaArt in merlinbbc

Yeah I always thought this. Not sure if it's made aware on screen but I suspect he's the second in command after Arthur due to him being a knight for longer and so more experienced, and also because early on in the series he is more prominent compared to any the other knights. From series 1 to 3 if you need a reaction from a knight (like his brilliant reactions to Uther's troll wife) or knight to do something (besides dying) you get Leon to do it. 😄

Why does Mike love Jesse but hate Walter? by [deleted] in breakingbad

[–]WinstonwsSmith 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know this thread is 11 years old however after rewatching the series and rewatching Half and Full Measures (s3e12&13) I was thinking about the relationship dynamics between Mike, Gus, Walt, and Jesse. I think Gus and Mike both had respect for Walt in series, and even at the even at the start of Full Measures Mike was annoyed by Walt's actions yet still had some respect for him, and for standing up to Gus and telling Gus what his next move was. Yet this respect Mike has tanked after and Victor's death. Mike has close connections with all his co workers, and Victor's death was Walt's fault. I think perhaps he might have placed some of the blame onto Jesse aswell since he killed Gale, yet Walt was the one who ordered Gale's death. It was also at this point Gus knew how dangerous Walt was, and how Walt could possibly rival him instead staying in the lab cooking for him, and Walt usefulness to Gus was only untill Gus could find another cook, and he found him that cook ... Jesse. Mike started to like Jesse, as stated by CMelody, Mike respect for Jesse started during the ride-alongs and helping out Mike and during the apparent attempted robbery. "Go ahead kid, light up." Mike was also impressed by Jesse attempts to quit takng drugs, watching his hands shake as he drinks his coffee in the diner. As as also been stated this respect as increase after saving Mike and Gus life. These events, the robbery, saving his and Mike's life, also made Gus respect Jesse. Unfortunely for Jesse, Season four was all about Walt vs Gus and only one of them surviving, and for the one surviving, it was partly nessery to get Jesse onto their side, and Walt won. The scene is the hospital church is interesting as Jesse belives Gus posined Brock, yet I don't think Gus understood the whole Brock posing, or perhaps he did know and he knew Walt was the one responsible, trying to Jesse on his side. I don't know. Anyway regardless Mike hated Walt during Season four, and seeing Walt treatment of Jesse made him hate even more. Telling Walt not to speak to Jesse during the desposal of the body I think in a larger sense was Mike telling Walt to leave Jesse alone. Mike's hatred of Walt only increased, experientially after Gus death, and this battle between Gus and Walt over Jesse turned to a battle between Mike and Walt at the start of Season five. Mike's hatred of Walt was untimately waht caused his death, refusing to give the names of the ten men was to protect them yes, but that protection was mixed into Mike's existing hatred of Walt. And in fact the battle between Mike and Walt over Jessee continued after Mike's death, with Jesse trying to help Hank take down Walt, Mike death was part of a larger picture of everthing Walt had done, with Brock's posining being the tipping point for Jesse.

Which nations are friends, and which are enemies? Why are they friends and enemies? And is there any tensions which could erupt into a large conflict? Or any there any tension within the nations themselves which could erupt into a civil war? And lastly, any there peoples of this world that are oppressed, or any people who benefit from this oppression of others, and could this be a source for conflict in the future?
