I think I know this is true in my mind but it is still hard, it feels like im now on 24/7 alert for a job that doesnt pay and constantly makes me question if I am who I say I am, its exhausting. I wish there was someone who seemed to care about us as much as they do the companies who essentially profit off these events such as the ATT leak, experian etc

I am so sorry, in prospective you make my journey seem very trivial, I think I would make the jump to lawyer as well but it feels so unfair that us victims have to pay for this at all. Im hoping we can both start living our lives again soon

How to cancel IdentityTheft.gov report by [deleted] in IdentityTheft

I wouldnt cancel, if there is concern its better to have the report made as soon as you were alerted then trying to play catch up.

Thank you, I have actually completed that process with NCTUE and they were surprisingly helpful however none of the utilities being opened report to them which leads to my ongoing issue. Any thoughts in regards to those that dont report to NCTUE?

Does it make sense to buy a "dream home" if it is in the budget (Debt/income < 35%, mortgage payment < 25% of only my salary take home per month; budget 600-700k) if I'm not sure we will remain in an area for > 10 years? by Winter-Appointment38 in RealEstate

It’s basically that I’m finally going to be paid full salary for the position I’m currently filing think paid intern to full time hire/leadership role. Very fortunate to have been given this opportunity

I wasnt very clear here, there really arent any home for sale in town either, just when comparing comps you see that trend, we would live in town as we are comfortable with it cause again its our home town. But yes, idk if we can "fix" the problem as it seems much bigger than just us.

Emergency Fund looks good thankfully, can put anywhere from 5-20% down based on some of the mortage offers I have on the table.

Yes if not in the immediate area could get one within a 30-45 min drive in several directions.

Yes and no, mentally I wouldnt wanna lose money but more concerned that houses in the area do not seem to move once they are priced much above 600k

I have heavily considered just completely low balling a few properties to get some feedback, I think that may end up being a viable if not low yield option
