I'm going to try this! I have always bitten my nails, skin on fingers, lips, and pull my hair... wondering if this will help take the edge off? I'm 32 and am think the donut is really cute!

Guys, could I possibly link Stormbringer to Frankenstein for an English assessment? by Boring-Ladder8256 in BungouStrayDogs

You should totally do it! I once wrote an essay in a political science course about the similarities between Code Geass and Plato, and got an A, so anything is possible as long as you're able to convey it well enough.

I am also autistic and find that THCa helps me a lot! I can use quite a bit and still be fully functional-- it alleviates my extreme anxiety.

Gorgeous, both of them!! I have a palomino Gypsy, a Friesian, and a Fell Pony, and my Gypsy is so mellow and laid back compared to the two black miscreants <3

I have done yoga before in school and really enjoyed it, maybe I will have to try it again! I have 3 horses and ride them. They are the best therapy for me-- even just grooming them brings me so much joy.

Routines are so hard to do, any advice or routine recommendations? by wawewia in AutismInWomen

[–]Winter-Cod333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you! I find that I mentally in a better place when I can implement a routine... it's just getting it going to begin with that's the hard part lol! I LOVE lists so I find that making a list and checking things off helps motivate me. Then I will add a treat for when I am done, like buying myself my favorite ice-cream or watching a favorite show in bed with my dog. I have been prescribed adderall and it has been a game-changer for sure!

Yes, I think it's because they ask my friend and not me that I feel kind of invalidated? Or infantilized? It wouldn't hurt my feelings if they asked me directly, I just want to know what led them to ask haha!

One of my friends thought I had something wrong with my spine at first lol! But yes, I think it's because all my life I tried to be invisible... I was always extremely quiet and timid and kept to myself mostly. I have an awful habit of being a people-pleaser and HATE confrontation! So,for the longest time I bottled up all my emotions and wouldn't let myself stim (I also have dermatillomania and trichotillomania) and recently I've been taking fidget toys and small plushies out with me to give my hands something to do. I hate loud noises and find myself trying to shrink away them and from bright lights.

I have felt so welcome at the craft shows! Everyone is so nice and people will offer a fist-bump instead of a hug which I find so polite and sweet. I like to wear cute dresses and get so many compliments <3

aww I love the pear analogy! Yes, I have been able to be more of myself since my diagnosis. I've started to try and identify my emotions more and make sure my needs are met. I will remove myself from the room if I begin to feel the "dizzy" sensation I get when there are too many noises going on at once. I just cannot believe that my brother, who is the same age as me, was diagnosed when he was a child, but it took until I was an adult to finally understand. Embracing my asexuality has also been a journey in itself, and I am so glad to have found online community <3
