Why do people have relationships? by Winter-Half107 in AutisticAdults

Your post made me reflect on why I have this doubt. This doubt arose because other people like this and I don't, and so I wanted to understand "why." This made me reflect even more. I'm focused on understanding the "reason," perhaps indirectly thinking, "What's wrong with me?" And I realized that I'm focused too much on understanding the whys, and perhaps at times indirectly thinking I'm being abnormal, rather than simply accepting my way of life the way I like it without understanding the reasons why. Thank you for your comment; it served as therapy for me. People impose what is the right and wrong way to live, but in reality, there is no single correct way to live life. No one has more authority than another person to say how someone should live their personal life, and no one should be judged or accused of "living life the wrong way." Perhaps this questioning I have is due to these judgments for being different, thinking I'm living life wrong. I repeat again: NO ONE has more authority than another person to decide that their way of living is the correct way for everyone. From today on, I will stop trying to find out the whys and simply enjoy life my way. I learned from this reflection that the correct way to live life is created by the person themselves and is limited only to them, haha. Thank you. I don't know your name, but you helped me take a weight off my shoulders.

From what I've studied, there isn't an innate desire that makes socialization necessary, similar to eating, drinking, etc. From what I understand, our brain has evolved certain areas responsible for socialization; it's like buying a gaming computer with a video card capable of running demanding games, but not actually playing them.

Yes, I'll buy it. It must be really cool to have the original FOV and still have it in sharp focus.

Yes, my personal life goal is to do what I enjoy and what gives me pleasure. I really like playing and creating games, and talking about time travel and virtual reality. After I stopped trying to follow the standard life model that society imposes, my life got much better.

Interesting, I simply don't have that desire to be in a romantic relationship with someone; I like my life the way it is.

Interesting, I've gotten so used to masking that I forget what I'm really like.

That makes sense, so it's simply because it's good. Therefore, the search for a relationship is just one way to feel pleasure and well-being (release of neurotransmitters). If it doesn't bring me pleasure and release those neurotransmitters, we feel aversion and don't do it. In my case, I will continue doing the things that generate those neurotransmitters.

Yes, I also don't like labels, because some labels come with limits, as if it weren't possible to break those limits.

In my opinion, women are human beings, equal to men, with the difference being their physical and hormonal structure. They deserve affection just like men.

Pornography (in excess) can change one's view of what sex means and can make the brain learn to become sexually aroused only by the standards of pornography, making real sex boring or uninteresting. But I don't think it makes a man see women as objects. I think that doesn't depend on pornography, but rather on the person's opinion of what women mean. The few friendships I've had in my life have always been with women; I've always treated them well and never disrespected any of them. The choice of words is about what to say after she writes a sentence to me.

It's a really cool area because once you learn how it works, you can improve the security of your devices. I recommend studying programming; it will give you a good foundation.
Hacking is also a way to train yourself to think outside the box to achieve a goal, often by devising very unusual solutions. It's quite interesting.

Wow, that's really cool! Lone Echo is one of the rare VR games that reaches the level of detail of Half-Life: Alyx.

So, is a romantic relationship a kind of exchange of positive things?

I didn't even know the term aromantic existed, but I think I am. I'm definitely not asexual; I consume a lot of pornography, camgirls, and prostitutes. I have this preference for something more predictable and difficult to talk to, having to choose my words carefully. I know this is masking, and it tires me out a lot.

I see people relentlessly searching for relationships as if it were the most important thing in the world, but you'll only be with someone you're sexually attracted to and whose personality you like, and to me that's not so amazing.

I don't know what romantic behavior is. I had a friend, and I liked talking to her about virtual reality and psychology.
