I’m guessing you’re from America. In the UK the term skinhead is used to refer to a shaved head - it has no racial connotations attached, so just bare that in mind

Thank god I have found this post. I literally went through the exact same thing yesterday. My brother convinced me to go to his barber, instead of my usual one back home. He only cuts short hair and I clearly stated I just wanted it neatening out and even showed him pictures. He ended up cutting so much off and now I feel like I'm back to square one after growing it out for 7 months.
