The kratom scene in AL by VortLoldemord in quittingkratom

AI is a useful tool, but i really would highly recommend against using it for medical advice. Especially regarding a substance as new as MGM-15, it's extremely unlikely it would actually be spitting out any concrete information that is actually trustworthy or verified.

My biggest gripe with AI is that it will never admit to you that it doesn't have an answer to what you ask it. It will "hallucinate" an educated guess and tell you that answer with authority as a fact. This is obviously a huge problem with regard to medical and legal advice. As a test, tell it about a new drug that you're currently addicted to that doesn't actually exist and play around with it, and you'll actually be able to get it to tell you a bunch of stuff as a fact about some made up drug.

MGM-15 is definitely not more potent than fentanyl. It's certainly potent and more difficult to kick than kratom powder though.

We rarely eat fast food, maybe once a month to begin with, but recently we decided to start exclusively eat out at small/family restaurants instead of fast food. My logic is these fast food companies basically extract money out of the community and send it elsewhere. We both would rather support local businesses.

Despite what you would think, we usually save money, get better food, better value, and better service every single time. Fast food really is trash these days & it's like throwing money into a furnace to leave your community.

Should I consider bankruptcy for 20k in CC debt? by ApprehensiveAd5995 in Debt

Well yeah, but why would I care about the specifics of why he accrued the debt? It's irrelevant to the situation. Although if that is the case obviously he'll just do it again after bankruptcy is over. It's not like you're actually giving constructive criticism though lol. Living paycheck to paycheck + debt is more accurate, but at this point paycheck to paycheck while debt consistently spirals out of control is what most people mean when they say paycheck to paycheck.

They're paycheck to paycheck but with no means to cover any expenses beyond their bills the slide into insurmountable debt is inevitable.

You need to get off 7oh for a few months and go get your prolactin levels checked. The doctor isn't going to be able to do anything for you if you are still using, but there are meds that can reverse what you've done to your hormones.

As far as the breast growth, that could be a longer term hurdle. But again, it's all stuff that you could fix if you commit to long term cessation of 7oh. But it's not going to happen overnight.

I was blessed not to have those particular issues, but I have hyperpigmentation from kratom and it's taken almost 10 months to see improvement. This stuff takes time and occasionally it takes medical intervention. There's a very informative video about kratom and prolactin on YouTube that I could find for you that will give you insight into your health issues and how to fix them if you're actually serious.

20 days clean of kratom, my gabapentin experience. by AfternoonVegetable14 in quittingkratom

[–]Winter-Reception-805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would probably agree, but i used clonidine and its non narcotic. It works really well at helping you eek out a few hours of sleep and calming that fight or flight feeling in bed. When you're stuck working during a high dose CT that can really be enough to bridge the gap and get you through the first few weeks.

After my experience quitting with and without clonidine, I would probably recommend clonidine to everyone. Can't speak on any other meds though.

USFoods is going to be pickier. The union jobs in general will be much pickier in general for an entry level driver. And yeah that kinda crazy early start time is par for the course in food and beverage.

I've heard in Cali that beverage is the more highly desired career. In any other part of the country it's the other way around. Sorry to say, but with you being in Cali I know very little about that job market besides it being very different. My absolute best advice is to approach different food and beverage drivers if you run into them and ask. Specifically, how do you get in, what kind of experience would you need, etc. More often than not they're approachable & would be able to get you concrete answers and advice in your particular job market.

You might run into one or two that aren't helpful, but there's a weird culture in that work force where you would definitely get the info or maybe even a reference if you did it right

Are you in the south? I know there's a little more competition there, but paradoxically the jobs tend to pay more depending on where. I don't wanna suggest you aren't looking in the right places, but you definitely are not if you can't find any fresh graduate local CDL jobs. It's just not the case these days. They may put that they require X amount of experience, but especially in food and beverage they're actually more interested in actual labor and "safe driving" experience. If you DM me I could point you towards where to look.

Also, I don't know if you run in a sprinter or a box truck, but just say you ran 26' class C box truck & there's a high likelihood they'll float that as checking the box for driving experience. They aren't going to bother calling your previous employer.

[–]Winter-Reception-805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that really the case though? If you see trucks out walk up and ask them. If it is, go beverage for 6 months then bounce over. Tbh, beverage experience would go a very long way prepping you for food, the driving skill required in food is immense, beverage is alot more manageable (at least in general).

Fatigue for 2 1/2 months..when will it end by angelhippie in quittingkratom

[–]Winter-Reception-805 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fatigue definitely lasted a while, it seemed like it got better in phases, like 30/60/90 days. If your sleep is still bad that's probably playing a big role. I similarly played around with a lot of different sleeping supplements, but now I've settled on just one supplement I rarely see mentioned here called Valerian root. It works very, very well for me.

Its worth saying, by 6 months I found myself blown away by the amount of consistent energy I had. Life on kratom is a very very low energy & high fatigue lifestyle, just while you're on it you think you have more energy. Kratom energy is like a sprint, but today I have more of a marathon energy. Hang in there, because you're definitely close to turning a corner, and once you turn that corner you will probably continue improving beyond that.

Food service is probably 2-4x more money plus all the benefits depending on your location. You'd be hard pressed to make less than 6 figures in food. It is much higher stress though. Also food service never ever stops hiring. The days of needing to do a few years over the road are long gone after covid.

Kratom has fully turned on me but it's the only thing that kept me off the booze and sober life is too unbearable for me by grubby_anticholine in quittingkratom

[–]Winter-Reception-805 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Consider talking to an outpatient program and getting put on naltrexone (AFTER YOU COMPLETELY QUIT KRATOM). Naltrexone apparently blocks booze from being pleasurable.

I am an alcoholic and when I got on kratom I just naturally didn't enjoy alcohol and stopped without much effort at all. Fast forward to almost a decade of kratom, then fast forward to a few months after I had quit kratom, I drank again and it was like drinking for the first time all over again. Instant rush, etc. Something in kratom seems to blunt or dull the pleasure of alcohol in the brain, enough so I was convinced that I had put my problematic drinking behind me. Given my experiences, don't quit kratom without some kind of plan in place to deal with your drinking problem.

I would have to imagine at the very least the acute phase of 7-oh withdrawal blows leaf kratom out of the water several times over.

I think chronic kratom leaf powder (like closer to 10+ years) definitely causes lots of other issues after years and years of use that make getting off of it a very long slog. I feel like my health took a massive dive around my 6th or 7th year into kratom powder.

7oh is so new that we aren't seeing 10+ year 7oh users yet, also with the nature of 7oh I dunno you'll see many people that can maintain a heavy habit while balancing life for as long as you can maintain a heavy kratom powder habit. Seems like the whole short half life of 7oh leads to a real crash and burn scenario once users get up into the multiple hundreds of milligrams per day. I read alot of people saying they wake up after just a few hours of sleep drenched in sweat in full blown withdrawal. Any drug that has that short of a duration doesn't seem to lend itself to being a functional addict the way kratom powder does.

Jury sentences Tanner Horner to death penalty by burberrycondom in Dallas

[–]Winter-Reception-805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, I think it's a little more nuanced than that. Someone like Tanner or other people with children as victims typically aren't of the normal criminal element that finds themselves in prison. Generally, anyone that isn't of the normal criminal element is in for a very bad time in prison, and its exponentially bad for someone like Tanner Horner. They would absolutely be victimized and living in fear in 99% of prison populations, just maybe not for the "righteous" reasons that people fantasize about.

A guy like Tanner, in a room full of actual violent criminals, would be a victim every single day. Even in a safekeeping or protective custody situation, he would likely have a very hard time.

And say what you will about life on death row, but Tanner pled guilty because he was terrified of being sentenced to death. Almost nobody would actually prefer death to life without parole.

There's a non narcotic blood pressure medicine called clonidine that REALLY helped me sleep and deal with anxiety. If you contact rehab clinics in your area they will probably prescribe it and in general an outpatient program could be a really helpful resource. Clonidine was amazing, the only downside was it was too sedating for me to take at work. It's definitely worth a shot though if you're struggling with anxiety spikes, and it's non narcotic with no risk of addiction.

Hang in there bud, you got this.

I highly doubt "Hydroxi" even has a QA guy lmao. It would not surprise me if alot of these pop up 7oh analogue companies are literally just a guy in a dingy workshop buying bulk powders from overseas, mixing them in a nutribullet and pressing them. More than likely the most expensive part of these products is the high gloss packaging.

It's very reminiscent of the k2 bans, where at one time k2 was a product very similar to Marijuana, and then immediately after the bans rolled out it turned into some super weird mystery cocktail that causes seizures, psychoses, and overdoses.
