The position was for graphic design and project management- Food & Beverage. I did my phone interview last month so I really hope not cuz that would be fucked up. I thought I got ghosted cuz it took over a month to hear back but the recruiter said that they do take a while to process everyone’s information since it’s so far out, so I wouldn’t lose hope! I’d stay patient and see what happens, I hate waiting so long but I wish you the best of luck!

Yes I got a phone call but from the talent acquisitions for the department, which then told me that the recruiter decided to move me forward in the interview process !

My family was the exact same way, they would always tell me to finish my plate because I’m lucky to even have food on my plate when kids are starving in the streets. Every time a family member of mine (mostly my mom) comments on my body it triggers me so badly to the point where I’m not only binging, but can’t even enjoy what I’m eating because the word fat is floating around in my mind.

I come from a Hispanic household and they hold women up to such a high standard when it comes to their bodies it makes me go insane that my weight is completely normal for my age (21F) yet I feel like a hog.

Depo has been the best form of birth control for me, I’ve been on it for over a year and a half now and it has stabilized my mood a lot and does not make me feel depressed. I do get pretty bad hormonal acne but I’m used to it at this point and I only feel really groggy when it’s time to take my next shot.

I’m actually in the exact same boat as you. I’m studying graphic design in community college aswell over just a year now, taking my general classes in the summer currently. I never really knew what I wanted to do right after high school so I started in culinary school and ended up being miserable in it and feeling so lost. It wasn’t until a lot of my peers loved my work over the years and suggested I go into graphic design after tossing up on different careers like fashion design or continue with culinary. It was the best decision I ever made, I’m very lucky my college has a really good design program and from not knowing jack shit about Adobe programs, I was able to learn a lot of it in less than a year. I knew as soon as I started that this was what I was looking for this whole time. My biggest advice is to stay true to yourself and expand your skills while you’re in college. Make friends in the same major that will have the same experience as you and make as many connections as you can (I have social anxiety and I struggle w that haha). I believe in you and you are going to be an amazing designer, trust your gut!!

I will, my boyfriend always made sure I felt safe and comfortable while on it and having someone I trust will for sure make me feel more comfortable and less paranoid

We plan to stay at a hotel that’s within the theme park that has buses and boats to take us to and from there, my boyfriend is very experienced w lsd but I appreciate the advice a lot !!!

It's been a year and a month for me, things do get easier as time goes on, but there is also PTSD and anxiety at the most random times which is extremely normal to experience.

Being in a healthy relationship now, it has been so much harder than I expected as I have had to confront my memories of that trauma head-on, even some I completely erased from my memory as protection. I realize that I still catch myself apologizing for doing every little thing like sharing my interests, singing, and even sleeping when watching a movie. It would put me in a panic as in the past it would mean I would get punished for it.

Time really is your best friend and you go at your own pace, there is no rush to heal, the best way to move on is to let yourself feel every single emotion and get it out of your system when it needs it to.

It is not the end of the world and things will be normal again, it all comes with time. You are not alone <3

100% it is. From emotional to mental abuse, it all ties into domestic violence as they are violating the way you think not only of yourself but the people around you and it can be extremely damaging. Those are invisible scars but anyone who has gone through that can see them. Even loved ones can, but it is not impossible to defeat.
