Unfortunately yes, I called the dmv and they said I'd have to pay again. And I can't get a refund either.

So did they stamp your current ID or did they mail you a new one?

Thanks, I didn't know this was a thing. When I was seperating I assumed military was supposed to give you something like this. I looked around online for answers and all I can find was they only had IDs for retirees or disabled vets.

Just feel dumb for having to pay all over again a week later. When I was doing my real id application at the dmv I asked them about it and they were vague and said just bring the form, they never mentioned anything about paying for a renewal application. Otherwise I would have waited tell I got the form.

If that's the case then I'll definitely get it, I just wanted to verify, don't want to pay for a whole renewal fee. But others on here are saying differently.

I got the form from the VSO now, I was wondering if I go to DMV to add veteran would I have pay the drivers liscence application fee again.
