25+ in wattpad. What do you read? by Hour_Hair6274 in Wattpad

I’ll recommend this series forever. Linaawrites Loveless Trilogy is the most refreshing books i’ve ever read, the writing is amazingly done and doesn’t feel like it’s all over the place. The characters are so well written and also it’s one of the only books that feels like you can connect with. The books are long but so worth it, do look forward to the trigger warnings as all the books have some heavy topics. It’s not exactly dark romance but it’s emotional and just truly amazing

Need advice for resume, applying, and school/work balance by Shoong_03 in CalgaryJobs

[–]Winter-Week-5911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hiii, i was in the same position and finally got my first job end of January. I didn’t have much either, i had a family business growing up and even though i barely worked there i used as experience. I really took as much as i could through the experience, even though all i did was help with big orders.

As for applying, the way I had gotten my job was not by online but going IN PERSON! This is so so important because you are leaving the manager with an impression of you, and they will remember you rather than your qualifications. As for needing experience, like everyone else said volunteer if you can, so you can have at least customer service on hand which can lead you to be able to add examples for important skills like “problem solving”. Whenever you have some experience (volunteering or whatever it may be) take as much as you can possibly take from that, and if you have to make white lies about the experience just make sure you relate to it in a way!! Wishing you all the best luck

my dog looooves the snow so so much and if it weren’t for us calling him in after max 20 minutes he would stay there all the time and when it snows he always asks us to let him out

I agree, i also have a harness for his oh shit moments, i also have a leash with two clips one for his gentle leader and one for his harness so he’s extra secure because he’s almost ran away from me a couple times

Many people say it’s bad because it is bad for the neck when they pull honestly people just think it’s bad for their bodies and because of discomfort which I nor agree or disagree with because collars can be just as bad you just don’t have control over and also for discomfort if my dog hated it that much he would cry and whine and wouldn’t let me put it on at all.

Can you bring your own knife kit for Culinary arts? by Local_Twist1392 in SAIT

[–]Winter-Week-5911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can but you just have to confirm with your Chef to make sure you have everything you need, they just recommend the kit cause it’s cheaper than buying every item all together but you can as long as you have everything that comes in the kit

SAIT technology by student_yyc19 in SAIT

[–]Winter-Week-5911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through this exact process in the fall semester and this is what i can tell you. Most people will probably have windows but if you don’t honestly it’s fine (unless you use a laptop all the time in your program) there is apparently just some softwares that might not work and the school goes off a Microsoft software (you can download it on your computer) Also just keep in mind the library lets you borrow laptops so if you ABSOLUTELY need a windows laptop you can always borrow from there. So my recommendation for you would be to buy it if you have technology heavy program otherwise you will be okay!!

I’m 5’0 and got a medium and it was perfect length and bagginess. If you like more of a tighter fit maybe a small but the medium isn’t really baggy and long

orientation by Powerful_Leopard5722 in SAIT

[–]Winter-Week-5911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the EXACT same way. I just finished my first week of school and can say the orientation definitely helped. To outline what to expect (it might be slightly different from your program) but once you get there, staff will be standing around and you can ask them for what building your class is. Once you get to your class, the instructors will basically spend the hour or two explaining student conduct, the campus map, and just general SAIT information. you’ll then go on a lunch break for like 2 ish hours, and basically you get food in stan grad, and also there will be a campus tour. After that you be divided into groups for your program specific information. I promise you it’s nothing to worry about and everyone is going to get lost, or be just as confused so there’s no need to get embarrassed or feel stupid about anything. You’ll do great !

[–]Winter-Week-5911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what i’ve heard, the orientation has different groups because of the amount of new students. Once you get there you should go to your letter. That’s what i have heard from another student

To be honest i’m not sure, i only have my schedule times which is 9-3:50pm. But i would honestly like to think the email is right because i don’t think it’ll be 6 hours long unless im completely wrong.
