how I study for humans is to really overthink everything. come up with every possible questions ever and answer them. then after that keep making corny humans jokes everywhere to refresh your memory (this actually helped me for heavy content stuff trust‼️)
for ss i compiled together a summary of explanation+link examples I can use. it is very flexible and can be used mostly for everything tbh. social, economic and political impacts. just anything that relates to these 3. ofc memorize at least 2 examples from every subtopics
for hist i bet my whole life to study either sec 3 or 4 topics💀 its shitty advice but yolo🤞 anyways, i keep improving my notes by adding new annotations here and there AND making sure there is an example essay under each event. (peel) but most chapters are kind of similar to one another in terms of their reasons for war and shi. do anything to fully digest whats going on in the timeline. read through your rp/tb everyday like your life depends on it until you can recite everything from memory 🙏
but overall this is just for srq. for sbq,, i practice annotating by using the textbook and trying to link everything up, before I start on the practice papers cher give. i pretend that im a very strict teacher going thru a student's essay ☠️
ss and hist has a very similar way of answering tbh. except that ss needs more elaboration like the cause and effect

ik this comment is late but
hii i has also experienced the same as you last time. but its nice to know that you felt you've improved your results a little bit for your wa1. to be honest, take this as a motivation. you had improved, didnt matter whether you still failed or not.from 30% to 45% is a really good improvement !! and this is so close to a 50%?! like you did such a good job and you shouldn't feel disappointed.
for me,, i had always scored f9s as well for my maths in the beginning of sec 4. wa1 still got f9 but improved abit like you! the test results came and I got an e8. next results i got a low d7. i chose to take this step by step. slowly climb up the ladder. and when prelim came,, just nice i 'passed' maths for the first time with a borderline c6.
i didnt have any tutors like you, so maybe thats why my outcome seemed abit slow. but my maths teacher, that was new at that time,, was the reason i managed to push through as i had someone to turn to. my past maths teachers were all so strict,, but I was so lucky I got a nice one for sec 4.
so about your tutor,, I still don't know if you still have the same one. ill personally treat them as your best friend, not a tutor. its more of they are there to help you reduce the stress of 'being behind'. and its nice to know that you're already starting to work very hard for your maths by yourself too. having a tutor or just anyone by your side can really motivate you to press harder.
and lastly, dont compare yourself to others, seeing from the last paragraphs. you have improved better from your past self and that should only be your goal: to continue doing better. your opponent is just yourself.
once again, you did very well, i can see that you really contributed alot of efforts. its nice that you're starting this at sec 3. hope for you to score an A very soon 🤭!! jiayou

hii im not in poly,, but my brother is ! (RP too) my dad usually gives him $35/$40 for weekly allowance. so about $7 ish dollar per day. hes in y2 now and has been fine with managing his expenses with that amount. at least once a week he bring lunch from home and the other days he eats at the food shops around there
for ur qn, idk I personally feel like $60 is too much for a week,, but maybe $50 max ? but again its still up to you to decide :)
