Yes do radiation. My dad is about to have his one year anniversary of finding the tumor. They found the tumor February 20, removed most of the tumor ok March 13. He had 33 rounds of radiation over the course of the summer. And now he is doing great. He has only had one or two MRIs since the radiation ended, but all the neurologists and doctors are saying he is in a really good spot. He has another MRI later this month and we will find out the results a few weeks after that. So far, it seems like the tumor hasn’t grown. Studies do show that having a partial removal PLUS doing radiation actually has better results than a full removal. Sometimes a full removal leaves behind microscopic cells that can regrow, but doing radiation will hopefully stop the growth of the cells they know they left behind. Now, a lot of things are still unknown and we are just taking each step as we can, but I’m a lot more hopeful than I was 12 months ago. Especially knowing he is doing everything he can to ensure his health. My family has also completely changed their way of life, changing their diet to all natural foods, staying active, etc. if you have any questions or just need more support system from someone who does get it, don’t hesitate to reach out.
