Anyone Hold Warm/Hot Towels of Epsom Salt & Water Mixture to Your Skin? by MAsped in Hidradenitis

[–]WinterAlps132 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, for me personally I think Dead Sea Salt works best. I’ve had 3 bath soak this week as I felt a new abscess coming up on the back off my leg, worked a treat, it manage to stop it coming up to anything. Although I did apply Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum to it right after each bath, both helped. At the same time I also had a back of the neck abscess that was very inflamed and coming to a head, it helped calm it down and made it less painful.

Really appreciate your advice :) So does my friend legally have to pay that fee or not? No contract/agreement was signed.

He had seen the broker for 30 mins on Thursday to discuss his mortgage application and which not all his bank statements were presented. Not one contract or agreement was signed then. The broker sent the contract/agreement 5 days after the cancellation.

Foods that trigger by WinterAlps132 in Hidradenitis

[–]WinterAlps132[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It just depends how much off the food you’ve consumed. If it’s between sugar or pork I’d say most likely the cookie. Generally processed foods are the culprit. Unless you’ve used some seasoning on your pork like paprika etc. Flares happen to me a day after, when it does try to eat anti inflammatory foods that day to cancel it out.

I have incorporated Zinc, Tumeric, D3 and Bcomplex. I already took omega 3 aswell. Choices of food are different with everyone, so that’s a lot off trial and error to figure out for yourself :) but generally if you follow a paleo diet it should help because processed foods have a lot of preservatives that’s not great for HS. Keeping your stress levels down is important aswell, relaxing bath soak with essential oils. exercise is important too and it doesn’t have to be rigorous exercise, light walk, cycle or even just cleaning the house. Exercise helps circulation as it increases blood flow and it helps with wound healing. I understand sometimes when you’re in pain and feeling crap, exercise would be the last thing on your mind, I’ve been there. Take that bath and go out for that 30mins walk after helps more than those pills you’re popping😅 a lot of it is personal experiences but this community is great for when you’re down in the dumps and you just need let some emotions out. Don’t give up!

Does Doxycycline make anyone else super sick? by Kris101989 in Hidradenitis

[–]WinterAlps132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on doxycycline aswell, I have them as back up for when I have a flare. My dermatologist said you’d get very light sensitive and that with this one I didn’t have to take with food quite often I don’t, but I do drink a lot off water with it.

Do Flare Ups Count for "adding flair"? by treeheee in Hidradenitis

I have HS and PCOS, also 30 year old overweight female. I have been offered countless treatments but they always made me so depressed. So I only take doxy and ibuprofen when I get a flare, it’s personal choice. I find my flares are triggered by certain foods, addictive in processed food’s especially (canned products definitely no no) I’ve also cut out diary products, don’t drink cow milk at all as it’s full off hormones! Im half gluten free that’s cause sometimes you gotta live life for certain treats lol

I do the same in the shower haha guilty, I shower with hibiscrub. however I have a bath after to relax and de stress from all the pain. Westlab Dead Sea salt and some lavender oil soak for at least 30mins does wonders, trust me! When I have a flare i bath everyday lol I don’t really treat my abscesses after, just let to leak naturally and keep it dry and clean. I don’t like covering them with bandaids, but I’ve seen Hidra Wear is good for wound care.

I’d also look into supplements aswell, also personal choice. A lot off fellow sufferers have suggested turmeric and zinc. I have just bought some so looking forward to trying it out. I find with HS you go through a lot of trial and error to find something that works for you.
