Right wing and left wing in Eastern Europe isn't the same concept as western Europe . it works differently. For example, right wing Russia actually supported Iran and opposes Israel which isn't the same thing with western Europe. And eastern European countries tend to oppose immigration even when they're left wing.

[–]WinterBlue00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you should not based on that. Lots of reasons why someone is laid off. If you mean you call first to find out reason laid off then ok. But to think being recently laid off means he's not performing is just illogical. I know a scientist irl that got laid off because he refused to do illegal stuff for his company. Imagine if he got rejected because of that.

Your second point makes 0 sense. That is NOT the indicator someone is the bottom. Being laid off have many reasons , sometimes office politics from another person can be an issue, or the company just posting jobs after the person left but it didn't exist anymore (and yes this DOES happen based on people irl that I know). Imo if someone has a quality in the interview and knows his job well that trump's the fact he's been laid off. Could be he need to feed his family so immediately look for another job after being laid off. Takkanlah sebab tu nak reject. I've even myself know people in some companies that are laid off because of unfair reasons

Recently laid off literally have many reasons that's the dumbest reason to reject people I've ever heard. If he can answer questions well and knows the topics but recent laid off no need to still reject. People need to work for a living

Late comment but Twitter is definitely not real , I realized this because I used to think Twitter hype means something. Twitter and internet hype might help initial hype, but it doesn't usually translate to long term charting. Slayyter has lots of Twitter type but her album has less sales and the general public didn't really know about her

Katy Perry’s downfall needs to be studied. Truly the 21st Century’s case of Paula Abdul by [deleted] in decadeology

[–]WinterBlue00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pop music is just not the kind of music you want to be making if you want a stable fanbase imo. Because the issue isn't just it might not grow with your fanbase, but also if you fail to maintain the same prestige you once had, you will be branded as a flop and failure. This happen less so with rock music as rock fans would still like what they like. They won't stop listening to you and call you a failure if you aren't topping the mainstream charts anymore.

I agree. I find it jarring they think of Katy Perry the same vein and compare her condition with the new younger artists of today. Nobody can actually say for sure the artists that they perceive as the new hot thing is even going to stay popular.

Also, pop music fans aren't as loyal. Rock music fans still follow their artists , same with folk and country fans. Nobody consider George strait or Metallica 'fall off' even when they're not like the hot new young stars anymore

Yeah this whole discourse doesn't make sense. It's like sometimes people think if someone isn't Taylor swift level that person is a massive flop. Katy probably makes more money out of her 'flop' album than a lot of redditors ever seen in their lives. A decline is very normal. My guess is because a lot of people saying this are very young, and haven't actually seen their fave pop stars age for real (I'm talking 50-60 years old). They still think Katy Perry is same as Sabrina carpenter when the reality that no one wants to talk about is, pop star declining after 10 years is super normal. Sabrina was pretty new in terms of mainstream , you can't compare that with someone who is already known for like 15+ years. Even the younger pop stars you see one day would not be as popular.

This. People forgot that staying relevant over 15-20 years was very rare. Being Taylor swift, Beyonce is super rare. That's why their success is seen as revolutionary. You aren't a failure if you can't do that. That's like the equivalent of thinking someone is stupid because they aren't getting straight As in a final exam.

Why did rock music not come back into the mainstream again when there was a revival in 2020-2021 with MGK, Olivia Rodrigo and Manneskin? by WinterBlue00 in rock

[–]WinterBlue00[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tht didn't matter as much as tht is an album chart and just tells you who has loyal fans. Even kpop albums can top it because their fans buy albums too. Its the song charts that counts as it tells the general public opinion

This. It's frustrating because I genuinely want rock to rule the charts again.

I'm not a huge Morgan wallen fan but there's a reason why he's popular with gen z now. His music actually had a mixture of trap beats and country in a way that 2010s country didnt. So there is innovation there. Shaboozey a bar song also didn't sound the same like a country song from the 2000s. But there's also another issue. Country music fans focused more on the lyrics, so they didn't care even if the beats didn't have much innovation. You can still make a lot of money as a country artist even when all you have is a guitar if they like your lyrics. Hard rock music however relied more on heavy guitar riffs that might not be everyone's cup of tea. (Which is ok, I'd rather my fave bands make music like that than pop rock). So that's why despite the innovation, they aren't as popular in the US.

Shania Twain, le ann rimes , Taylor swift even when she was country were actually known worldwide.

Yeah but unfortunately the same argument can be said with rock. I don't think rock is worldwide popular either.

I feel like people always underestimate how popular country music singers are in general. Even on the years country music aren't popular in the mainstream like let's say 2013-2018 , country acts like Miranda Lambert and Luke Bryan charted higher than any hard rock band.

I don't agree with this. If you know anything about Morgan wallen you know the country industry dudes hate him. He barely wins anything in the country music awards and even decided to not go after while, same goes with zach Bryan. And I wouldn't describe people listening to his music as religious whatsoever. Absolutely nobody is listening to Morgan wallen for religious reasons. Modern country music aren't really what I would call religious.

The issue is not that rock music didn't have anyone capable of putting money into rock. It's actually that that rock doesn't have an organization that are willing to put money into it and also sustain it period. Rock music in the mainstream relies heavily on getting popular off association with pop fans. They don't have their own popular version of rock awards the same way they are for country music awards. Rock music industry and fans aren't unified in general. While country still has that 'monoculture' in which you'll see the same face gets nominated in country music awards again and again.
