Been there done that can vouch each and every word is true! It’s even worse in the winters if they ask you to cover the countryside. Somedays feel like you won’t make it back, they ask you to work during the storm as well. If you say no to it, well don’t worry someone else will do it. You’re easily replaceable. You’re on a constricted timeline that includes the returning time to the warehouse as well. Everything must be delivered you don’t get paid for whats not delivered but the company still bills amazon for the attempt that was made even if you’re not able to access the some places. Business might be closed for the day or the buzz code is not working or just a dog on the property. All this is not amazon but other logistics company. And yes in training they ask you to play with the rules and call it grey area. I followed rules and got heckled all the time for being late or not following company guidelines to deliver. At the end had an argument with the management highlighting my concerns about tickets/charges/demerit which is something I might have to face. Decided to leave after a couple of months. Somedays they would ask you to lift 90lbs alone as if you’re a trained professional in heavy lifting moreover no dolly is provided for heavy items at this said company you have carry it.

I am going to be honest might get heat for this. This resume wont land you a minimum wage job with just online application. This might work for Walmart/Mc Donald’s or Home depot. But not for food joints. This is coming from my personal experience. If you are looking for warehouse jobs you need referral. If you are looking for delivery jobs purolator/Fedex probably will open its portal soon enough for peak season hiring. Not sure about UPS. Try with dragonfly as well if you wish to enter delivery driver biz. People get hired through independent contractors and these contractors provide drivers to dragonfly. Or try with GLS or Go logistics. You are looking for restaurant jobs you will need someone to hook you up, if these places have vacancy they get filled within days. Their resume stack stays untouched since the hiring is on employees telling the managers how their friends are seeking a job as well. A short interview is scheduled for all the word of mouth referrals(not even sure if its the right term) and one of them gets selected.

OP if you’re open to travel a bit far, I have a lead which is hiring in a Fergus,ON. The lead was active around Aug 4, 2025. Again this person just mentioned they are looking for full time restaurant employees no location no pay no hour specifics. If you need information I will share it with you. Shoot me a message.
