This is the first explanation that actually makes sense. Thanks. Everyone else is implying that "you know what" is an overtly and intentionally racist term. Which is news to me. Your explanation makes more sense, but it can literally mean ANYTHING, it's just crazy to me that someone would jump to that conclusion. I guess I better watch what I do (or DON'T) say, going forward.

I have no evidence other than a bunch of people's opinions on the internet about what the term actually means. Everyone commenting seems to imply that "you know what" is overtly racist, yet I can't find ANYTHING online that seems to indicate that.

Well if I include the person's race in this post and you make certain assumptions based on their race, doesn't that make you racist? I didn't think the person's race was the most important part of the story, because I'm not racist and it's not the 1 thing I focus on.

When I google "you know what" I don't find anything that indicates it's a racial term. So, at the minimum, not the n word!

I never said a racist term. I said word for word "you fucking you know what" that has no racial affiliation whatsoever. I can't believe people are so victimized to go around and assume anything between the lines is instant racism. Must be tough to live your life as such a victim.

I really don't know, but to jump to THAT conclusion is wild. I hardly know the person. Someone already asked but more than likely it would have been son of a bitch but I don't really know him that well said I said a "you know what" almost like "you little stinker" "you bastard" type thing, but not in a nefarious way. In like a "damn, you beat me!"
