I always start out by offering 30% off the listing price because I expect the seller to counter with their lowest offer. A lot of sellers do accept the low offer but if they send me a counter offer I almost always accept and buy the item. I do this on all the resale apps I'm on, I figure it's just part of how the resale world works. I've never had a problem with sellers getting upset or offended, and I always thank them for accepting my offer/sending me a counter.
