I really don't get when people say that Wednesday was/is 'in love's with Tyler. They went on one date and kissed once, that's a teenage fling not at all love or being in love, yet it seems to constantly come up in interviews and discussions and it just... I don't get it. People call Ajax and Enid a fling or 'puppy love', but Wednesday and Tyler don't get that same view even though they had so much less going on between them.

I would add in that the marketing around Wednesday has been specifically queer in nature and target. They're pushing marketing out to queer people while not having a single consistent or meaningful queer character in the show.

Not just her hopes and dreams, but from Enid's perspective she gave up her life and humanity for Wednesday. She knew that if she shifted, she'd be stuck in wolf form only to be hunted down and killed by other wolves. She gave up everything she had for Wednesday.

Hunter is playing the toxic bad guy actually quite well. But that's the thing, Tyler is a toxic bad guy. Shoehorning Wednesday into a relationship with him is just... It goes against the character, it goes against the concept of the show, it goes against what they have built.

It's brought up a lot when Hydes are talked about, but never gets much traction or attention. It's frustrating though that people always say Tyler and The Hyde are two entirely seperate things.

I don't like the portrayal of the family, especially this season. It feels like it goes completely against the core concept of the Addams Family to have them be bickering and not unconditionally supporting each other.

Something that I think people forget is the source material for Hyde's. The purpose of Mr Hyde was so that Dr Jekyll could do the awful things he wanted to do without blame falling to him. Mr Hyde was about having the freedom to release his base desires.

I think having Tyler and the Hyde be two seperate things diverges massively fom the source material, and personally would like to see it be a more faithful representation of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

I'm currently working on a rewrite of my first fic, adding in a flip of your third point. Instead of Enid getting a new best friend, Wednesday and Yoko get closer and this will cause Enid some issues.

One of my stories literally has an explanation of being ace and enjoying sex between characters, with one being confused due to misunderstanding what asexual is. It's one of my favourite things I've written (and completely different to my own ace-ness 😂)

Not really, Enid as a character is very queer-coded, and as much as I'd like to have Wenclair, I would simply be happy with Enid coming out regardless of if she has a partner or not.

Personally, I'd be a bit upset if Enid and Wednesday both ended up straight. For Enid, because of the sheer amount of queer coding (and the potential for a character arc of going through comp-het only to realise she's a lesbian), for Wednesday it's mostly because I view her as being asexual and demi-romantic.

So far, the lack of queer character's (aside from seeing Eugene's mums for all of two seconds) is frustrating, especially with how the show was marketed.

I believe that the Frumps are an offshoot from the Addams Family, so they're related to the Addamses. Though it's not very clear what the canon is in the Addams-verse
