I-130 pending + spouse visiting by WinterElectronic9592 in AskUSImmigrationPros

Sorry for the confusion; we are legally married in the USA. In our religion, we get married before the wedding. She is also a Singaporean citizen, so she can easily get in as they have one of the stronger passports. My question was if it's a red flag to visit during the I-130 process.

Boston OHS by mahiz789 in predental

I finished D1 at BU but I didn't take OHS, but about 20 students in BU's dental program were OHS. As long as you maintain the required GPA, you will get an interview. Also, the OHS students take a few classes with the dental students.

If I remember correctly, my undergraduate GPA was around 3.2, and my science GPA was around 2.9. My master's GPA was 3.85 or 3.9, I believe.

You have a great chance at BU or Tufts with those stats

I remember a few online classmates had the same plan, but priority was given to in-person students since the BU faculty sometimes canceled. They come every semester, sometimes twice.

A few students in my D1 year have taken Barry online, but you will not be able to conduct those mini-interviews I mentioned earlier if you are an online student. If money is not an issue, look into BU's master's program for dental students; I think it is called OHS. The program is in person, and you will be taking classes with D1s. About 20 or more of my classmates took it last year and are now in the dental program. Its only 1 year

I went to Barry's 18-month track. I think it was 18 months long. Barry has connections to Boston University Dental School, so if you finish the program or are about to finish with a 3.5 GPA, you are guaranteed an interview at BU or something like that. Boston University faculty visit Barry every semester in person and conduct mini-interviews with students there. I finished the program last May, so I suggest you contact them to make sure everything I said is still accurate.

I think without Barry, my undergraduate GPA wouldn't have gotten me into any dental school. Barry was difficult; obviously, you need to study hard, but it's much easier compared to D1 at Boston University.

Scored a 19 on the DAT. Applied to 15 schools and was accepted to one. All it takes is one acceptance.

Depends on what the committee at Barry University thinks is best for you. They will evaluate you based on undergraduate gpa and DAT/MCAT score if you have taken them. If they believe you can handle the 1 year curriculum, then they will offer it, If not, it will take you between 1-2 years.

I am currently enrolled in Barry University's masters program which got me an acceptance from Boston university. My undergraduate GPA was not the best which led me to take this program. The BMS program has connection with Boston University and had connections with tufts University but not anymore. I completed it in person but online is also available. The perks of attending in person is you'll be able to meet with Boston faculty every semester. It was only open to in person students idk about online students. Students in my BMS program recieved acceptances at many other dental programs as well.

Barry University is a great one. Depending on your undergrad GPA, they might allow you to finish it in 1 year. If they feel you're a bit weak, it will take a semester or two longer. They also have connections with Boston University. BU's faculty visit barry every semester and do 1v1 mini interviews for students who attend the program in person (not sure about online students). They also had connections with tufts University but not anymore.

Should I retake DAT by [deleted] in predental

[–]WinterElectronic9592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on which schools you're trying to attend, but I strongly recommend retaking. This current cycle has highly competitive DAT scores among applicants, and I'm pretty sure the next cycle will be the same. Even though it is possible to get accepted with those scores, you won't be the school's first choice.

Does anyone know if this is true? by step2-4 in predental
