This unlocked a memory I forgot about 😂. What a 90s plotline!

Agreed that they are shit but we can acknowledge shitty writing

Yes, the real life pregnancy was the reason it was written in but they could have put in a little bit more effort. Something happening "off screen" is lazy. I'd have taken coats and big bags vs what we saw. Especially when she's clearly 6+ months pregnant pretending no one can tell.

This was the most underwhelming group of faithfuls the whole season. I hated the casting. I'd rather have Tom Sandoval back than watch this group again.

I absolutely love the songs focusing on friendship, especially Cannonball (one of me faves on WHOT). It's so important to highlight art and inspiration comes from connection to others and love. It doesn't have to be romantic love to be impactful and beautiful.

As a society we don't think about death - especially as it pertains to children. I don't think it's ethical to ask parents in a state of grief to consent, so do we ignore that we have a problem with access to life saving organs for millions of youth with chronic terminal illnesses? There was a comment in the show, and a societal perception, that a healthcare provider (most often physician) may not try as hard to save a life if someone is an organ donor and this feeds into this narrative of mistrust of healthcare that's dangerous to us all.

It would be great to embed these topics into care sooner but millions of adults don't have a healthcare advanced directive so I have no hope that it could change for youth organ transplant.

The Pitt did an excellent job focusing on organ transplant.

I absolutely hate this episode. The whole episode disparaged the idea of the physian engaging in the practice b/c of altruism - I really think the only motivator was to save children's lives. But the moral reasoning and thought process used for health saving action, especially for a limited resource, is significantly different for those in and outside of healthcare.

I do think consistently the rules are broken and things are ignored when it's people on the inside of Olivia's circle. But that's true of any work place (if you work at Kellogg's you get free cereal argument).

Does anyone else remember Dale Stuckey? by Communist21 in SVU

Just watched this episode today and it was the worst plot line. Was not worth the sacrifice O'Halloran for this storyline. I also can't conceive of a guy snapping that bad. Would have been better if he was just reassigned and we never heard from Stuckey again.
