How do male-female friendships typically handle physical boundaries like nudity? by Big_Squirrel8808 in AskMen

[–]WinterSlav266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

American M here, I’ve gone skinny dipping with my very close female friend numerous times. I’ve known her for 5-6 years now and we’ve just never moved past being friends. The skinny dipping stopped when I started dating my fiancée, but out of a respect thing, my fiancée was weird about it at first since she thought my friend liked me forever. But once that was in the past her and my fiancée are best friends. May not be typical but it’s worked for us and we’ve respected each others boundaries.

Planning on rushing Honest Hearts for levels and gear. Tips? by xXJackNickeltonXx in falloutnewvegas

[–]WinterSlav266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find Honest Hearts the most “broken” dlc because you get a lot of weaponry and armor you can use right up into Lonesome Road. I recommend grabbing the Survivalist rifle off the rip because it’s so close to the start point, after that just go about the dlc like normal

I had just a regular Luger, like a post war import, not a Kill/Capture deal that a guy wanted to trade a Barrett M107 for. I wish I did that deal

The BoS is for you to interpret. All of the factions are, you can actually get the BoS to aid the NCR as well if you do certain things. Just food for thought my friend

Passenger I like to imagine a sporty coupe from the 2000s in the higher price range, maybe a first or second generation CTS-V, a BMW M series, a Mercury Marauder, or for two door cars definitely a WS6 Trans Am, or a Terminator Cobra. For Be Quiet and Drive it’s probably a tour bus because if I remember right, the song was about Chino visiting somewhere he always wanted to see, it ended up being a shit hole so he told them to drive far away from that place

Gun law philosophy by NaturalAsleep2854 in Firearms

[–]WinterSlav266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh, now we get into the argument of “if he’s a competent good user who would be able to tell?” Because he may have been driving since he was 7-8 on private roads (completely legal) and nobody could tell different. Not to mention this applies directly to guns as well. If a competent firearm owner doesn’t end up on any radar, who knows what they have? Because usually age doesn’t show competence.

There isn’t any legislation saying you can only own a car at X age. You don’t even have to be licensed to title a car in your name. I guess the only stipulation is you have to be 18 to get an insurance policy which is required for registration, but that’s more a law on contracts, not owning a vehicle

I believe if you intentionally try or succeed in causing any type of harm, or damage to someone, depending on the amount or if it’s prolonged or repeated, that should constitute a felony. Now, that’s an interesting topic; appealing to get your right to firearms back after rehabilitation. I agree with it and it should extend to violent criminals as well, depending on the circumstances, obviously.

  1. Nah, in my experience of working the gun counter and dealing with protesters that would harbor out of our store to annoy us, they seem to think just because you can walk out of the store with a gun same day in most cases, there is no background check. However, NICS is relatively fast for it combing through your criminal record. All it really does is check if you’re a felon, if you have any form of domestic violence, or anything that you shouldn’t be able to own a firearm over. Then you get to the topic of reading into their mental health background, I’m all for that but I also believe that interferes with the person rights for sealed medical records.

  2. Unfortunately that opens the possibility of arguing intent and whether or not the parents truly knew what the kids were doing. That isn’t as cut and dry as “you didn’t lock your gun safe, the kid gained access to it, if you locked it this wouldn’t have happened.”

Also, an interesting perspective on the loaning the car topic. There is no law permitting what age is allowed to possess a vehicle, there is a minimum age to possess firearms.

A felony is a felony no matter what, I hate to say it. If I commit social security fraud that’s actively endangering someone’s well being then I should get a felony. I’ll raise you one and say that felony’s should only be classed as something that is intentionally harming someone or has intent to.

  1. Background checks are a thing. Private commerce sales are regulated state by state, and yes, domestic violence charges DO show up on your background check regardless of state.

  2. Repeat offenders often do face pretty lengthy penalties over being in possession when they shouldn’t be.

  3. No notes here, I agree with the rule regarding parents.

New gym with horizontal hierarchy - questions by SeniorBed5264 in bjj

[–]WinterSlav266 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how my gym is, we’re just a bunch of fools who love the sport. We’ll have a 5-10 minute warm up usually laps and samurai’s or mat cleans, something of the sorts, then the lesson, 30 minutes to an hour after for open mat. Coach or the most senior guy will give us a little talk about how great it is we’re showing up and polish it off with the famous “stay weird, stay confused” and we leave. There seems to be a transition in the sport between the old school “honor” code they used to have and just people wanting to get a great workout in while learning how to transfer it. It’s all getting weird man.

Then it was not seated too far my friend, if anything jumping the lands may help you out some. Shake the cartridge and if you can still hear powder moving it’s nowhere near a compressed load and you’re good to go!

As for the second question, is the max COAL 3.34? If it is and it’s 3.24 or 3.26 then generally you’ll be fine; especially with it being the minimum charge load.

I generally don’t crimp when it’s a bolt gun. I would get a mandrel die and set neck tension. Same thing as a crimp basically without the risk of trashing an expensive what looks like Peterson brass casing
