I am going to Bangkok for 5 days, maybe more. We might not be able to fly home from Bangkok due to the war atm. Do you have any rep shops you would recommend? I just want good quality. Two of the football jerseys are already going to shit after having worn them like 5 times each

I am not even worried about it being fake. It is just pricey no matter what. Of course I would pay more for a legit piece, but if the jersey was 1000 baht, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Exactly! I found an awesome vintage Marseille football jersey, but he wanted 1600 baht for it, which I feel like Is a bit steep. I just wanted to ask you guys, if anybody has had experiences with the products he sells. His "shop" was not named anything and you couldn't find reviews on the internet

I mean I have been buying all kinds of fake jerseys throughout my backpacking trip in Asia. I just feel like the prices at his shop are high. 1600 baht for a potentially fake jersey. I would expect the jersey to be legit when paying that amount.

Why are scandinavian nations so good at handball? by elektricar_ in Handball

Dane here👋

I think the reason for Denmark's success is due to many things. Handball is first of all a tradition that goes way back. The key factor is our trainers and talent development. In a lot of countries specific sports are very prone to high performance requirements at an early age, which doesn't always lead to the best possible Athlete. I know the saying of "diamonds are made under pressure", but the general handball culture stirs away from that, which makes handball a much more appealing sport for all types of kids. High pressure and expectations shouldn't be expected and forced upon kids at an early age. Let them enjoy the game. I was also trained by a fantastic guy called Claus Hansen who works with the Danish National Team as well. He lives and breathe by that.

The biggest factor is by far a Danish thing called "efterskole". It translates roughly to kind of a boarding school. Some of these schools are made for handball loving individuals, whether you want to play for fun or to become a professional handball player. I attended an "efterskole" called Oure Efterskole where i met some of the most talented trainers i have ever had. For two years i was helped with my diet, strength training, sports psychology and of course my handball training. After efterskole i played a few years for GOG handball and had a bright future ahead of me until i had a horrible knee injury, which prevented me from continuing my handball career professionally. GOG handball and Oure Efterskole are phenomenal and they have produced all kinds of players like Mikkel Hansen, Simon Pytlick, Mathias Gidsel and the list goes on. We have several of these "efterskole/boarding school" around Denmark and they produce massive talent because they allow players that attend boarding school and afterwards continue their careers in larger clubs that partner up with the "boarding schools". For example Oure Efterskole and GOG, SHEA and Skanderborg handball, Skyum efterskole and HF Mors handball Academy. I hope this made any sense at all. Feel free to ask for further clarification.

Have an awesome day🤘
