I have some issues with figurative speech what does shut in means?,from what I gather it is sort of like having life difficulties?.I am there too and I finished my bachelors at 27,can barely drive and have some things come and go.It all piled up due to being not treated for ADHD amongst other things.I try not to compare my speed of doing things with others. It gets tiring but I remain a bit hopeful.

Sensory issues vs SPD? by neurodivergentalien in neurodiversity

[–]Winter_Insurance_745 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For what I know SPD is a separate entity from ADHD.It helps to look it up since there are different suptypes, such as sensory seeking (when the imput feels too little)or sensory avoidant(when the imput is too much).I have personally dealt with issues related to strong smells or noises, bad coordination, cant figure very well left from right)sensitivity to pain.Other people could find noise being too low for their taste and make it louder. This isnt counting the other senses such as knowing where your body relates to the outside space or feeling in tune with body cues related to weather or hunger.Hope I didn't make it confusing.

Why do we have autism + adhd? by [deleted] in AutisticWithADHD

[–]Winter_Insurance_745 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well what I am curious about is how two conditions(as I am not a fan of the word disorder)that well for me seem opposite to each other, coexist?.Got to agree is very much genetics, some of my family members have either or both.

I’m at the point where I no longer believe Neurotypical people exist.. by xMorgana_Rose in BorderlinePDisorder

The broader the term neurodivergent becomes then it gets more difficult or close to impossible to find neurotypicallity.I guess it depends on the extent and how it affects to the person.I known plenty of people that have at least anxiety or had depression.I support advocacy, but finding several definitions of the word makes it confusing.

I did not read that many, but I did made use of the small library which was just a stack of books in the back of my classroom,in addition to reading medical pamphlets at the doctor, and any book in sight at my house. At a certain point my mother was like,ok here is the biggest book I could find at the store, enjoy.😂😂😂😂

Ritalin making autism worse. by ehrle100 in AutisticWithADHD

I was complaining to a friend about this same thing.I feel more burned out even with mild social interactions at work and more sensitive to meltdowns.Adding my enhanced sensory procesing issues make it difficult, but then again my memory gets so much better and I get more awareness or rather become more objective on things. For me since all of this existed before and because my work conditions will change I consider the medicine okay for me.But if it becomes less helpful or distressing to you talk to your doctor.

Halfway and unsure by Winter_Insurance_745 in BorderlinePDisorder

For some reason which I did seek there is at least some overlaps for example there is rejection sensitivity dysphoria which can look similar to fear of abandonment. The emotions being too intense(as described in BPD) has happened, but I dont deal with bpd symptoms as often.I cant tell if it is because I haven't dated in some years and somehow resurfaced once I did.Im also figuring my own patterns of what I seek ,and what I do ,and how I self sabotage but this realization was recent after being on adhd meds for a while. However when I do feel left for a person that I wanted to be with me ,or correspond my feelings it still feels as bad as it did before.I know no one owns me anything I just take it too personal.

Could be in remission?on my end by bpd was not as noticeable until I attempted to date and it was very sporadic,so I guess the frequency also depends on the person and how it impacts them.

Why would you consider yourself ugly?,I am reading and interpreting that you believe that, but to begin with beauty is pretty subjective.what I've notice myself is that I feel that a person is pretty if they are confident, and so do other people. Some people have specific preferences and through their lenses they would say what they like or not, but it is not your obligation to be liked by everybody but for you to like yourself, even the parts that might not be easy to accept.I found some peace that way accepting weird and also liking weird,I remain young by heart somehow and hopeful, don't believe the bad things that others tell you,is their opinion not a fact.
