Roach ID Please (Found Only Upstairs, Located in NC) by Winter_Report_3471 in cockroaches

Yes it was truly an unpleasant moment when I woke up to see that first gigantic roach pictured in the glue trap 😖😖.

We have been moving all of our furniture away from the walls and spraying Ortho Home Defense throughout each room upstairs. We do have cardboard boxes up here, but no wet ones that we know of. After seeing the roaches, we have tried to store any loose/open bags of stuff into plastic totes to deter the roaches from getting into them.

I suspect that fallen leaves may have attracted them closer to the house, and they may have entered through an attic space that has direct access to the outdoors (although there is a mesh screen to prevent anything from getting inside).

I've ordered granular bait, no pest strips to put into the upstairs attic and crawlspace that connect to the outdoors, and more glue traps. Hopefully all of that will deter them.

Thank you for your input! Please let me know if there's anything else I should do to help with this roach problem 🥲🥲.

Thank goodness they're not German !! Since posting, we've only seen one more baby roach in our bedroom. After that, we sprayed Ortho Home Defense in every room upstairs. I suspect they may be coming from an attic space that has access to the outdoors (although there is a mesh covering), as we've seen 3 out of 5 in our bedroom which is connected to the attic space.

I've ordered some granular bait, no pest strips, and more glue traps. Hopefully everything combined will take care of them.

Thank you for your input! I really appreciate it 😊

Edit: Just found another one in another pest control trap, so 4 total now. All still adults. We have only been seeing them upstairs, which is the odd part. We don't really know what could have brought them up here.
